Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your LIONWEI 13-in-1 USB C Docking Station and configure your displays.

1. Verify Laptop USB-C Port Compatibility

Before connecting, ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) or is a full-function Thunderbolt 3/4 port. Ports that only support charging or data transfer will not enable display output.

Check your laptop's USB-C port functionality for display output compatibility.

2. Connect the Docking Station

  1. Connect the USB-C cable from the docking station to your laptop's compatible USB-C port.
  2. Connect your external monitors to the docking station's HDMI, DisplayPort, and/or VGA ports.
  3. (Optional) Connect a power adapter to the docking station's PD port to charge your laptop.
  4. (Optional) Connect other peripherals like USB devices, SD/TF cards, and an Ethernet cable.

3. Configure Displays (Windows OS)

For Windows systems, the docking station supports both Mirror (SST) and Extend (MST) modes, allowing for quadruple display output.

To configure displays on Windows:

  1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings" or go to Settings > System > Display.
  2. Under "Multiple displays," you can choose to:
    • Duplicate these displays: Shows the same content on all connected screens.
    • Extend these displays: Expands your desktop across all connected screens, allowing for more workspace.
  3. Drag and drop the display boxes to arrange them according to your physical setup.
  4. Adjust resolution and orientation for each display as needed.

  • Try connecting one monitor at a time to isolate the issue.
  • Restart your laptop and reconnect the docking station.
Flickering or Unstable Display:
  • Ensure all display cables are securely connected.
  • Reduce the display resolution or refresh rate in your operating system's display settings.
