2. Safety Information
Always adhere to the following safety guidelines to prevent injury, property damage, or improper operation.
- Installation Environment: Do not use this product in an enclosed space or tent. Ensure proper ventilation and a clear path for exhaust fumes.
- Flammable Materials: Do not use or store flammable or explosive materials near this product.
- Aerosols: Do not spray aerosols near the device while it is in operation.
- Professional Installation: The installation of this product and all its components must comply with national standards and local regulations. It is highly recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.
- Gas Type: This product is designed to use propane gas only. Ensure the standard gas pressure is 2.8 kPa.
- Water Connections: Ensure all water connections are properly sealed to prevent leaks. The inlet and outlet threads are 1/2" NPT. Do not exceed 80 Nm torque when tightening water connections.
- Gas Connections: Ensure all gas connections are properly sealed to prevent gas leakage. The inlet thread specification is 1/2" NPT. An adapter (1/2" NPN to 5/8" UNF) is used to connect the pressure reducing valve to the machine. Apply thread sealant to prevent leakage. The torque for adapter connections should not exceed 40 Nm. Always check for gas leaks using a soapy water solution after connecting.
- Electrical Connections: Connect the red wire to the positive (+) terminal and the black wire to the negative (-) terminal of the 12V DC power supply. Ensure secure connections.
- Exhaust Port: Be aware of high temperature hazards at the exhaust port during and after operation. Do not touch the exhaust port.
3. Setup & Installation
3.1. Preparation
Before beginning installation, ensure you have all necessary tools and components. These typically include a water heater, gas connector, sealant (butyl tape recommended, not silicone), wrenches, pliers, and a screwdriver.
3.2. Select Installation Location
Choose an appropriate location to install the water heater, typically on the wall or floor inside the RV. Ensure the location allows for proper ventilation and a clear path for exhaust fumes. The unit's door size is 15x15 inches, and the rear chamber size is 12.6x12.6x14 inches.

3.3. Install Front Door Panel
Install the front door panel by rotating its handle to the right to open the cover. Align the inner lining to cover the holes of the water heater and fix it with screws.
3.4. Water Pipe Connection
Connect the shower pipe to the water outlet in the upper right corner of the unit. Connect the water inlet pipe to the water inlet in the lower left corner. Both inlet and outlet threads are 1/2" NPT. Apply thread sealant tape and tighten securely. The torque must not be greater than 80 Nm. After connection, check for any water leakage.
3.5. Gas Pipe Connection
Connect the gas pipe to the gas inlet. This product uses propane gas. The inlet thread specification is 1/2" NPT. An adapter (1/2" NPN to 5/8" UNF) is used to connect the pressure reducing valve to the machine. Apply thread sealant to prevent leakage. The torque for these connections should not exceed 40 Nm. After connecting, apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections to check for air leakage (bubbles indicate a leak).
3.6. Electrical Connection
Connect the controller. There are two blue power wires in the accessories; the polarity of these wires is irrelevant, and they can be connected to either blue wire. Connect the red and black wires of the water heater power cord to the 12V DC power supply. The red wire is positive (+), and the black wire is negative (-).
3.7. Mounting the Unit
Slide the device completely through the cutout in the RV wall until the forward flange contacts the RV sidewall. Secure the flange to the sidewall with fasteners. The entire backside of the forward convex and around all holes should be sealed with a sufficient amount of water sealing material, preferably 1-inch wide butyl tape (not included). Do not use adhesives like silicone for water sealing.
4. Operating Instructions
The VEVOR RV Tankless Water Heater is designed for user-friendly operation with its LED smart display and touch controls.
4.1. Initial Startup and Testing
After completing all installation steps, conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the water heater works properly and is free from leaks. Verify all connections (water, gas, electrical) are secure and leak-free before proceeding.
4.2. Power On/Off
Press the power button on the remote controller to turn the unit on or off. The LED display will illuminate when the unit is active.
4.3. Temperature Adjustment
Use the touch controls on the LED smart display to adjust the water temperature. The unit features segmented combustion technology, which adjusts water temperature based on seasonal changes, ensuring comfortable hot water year-round while being energy-efficient. The temperature range is typically 95-123°F.

6. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter. For problems not listed here, or if solutions do not resolve the issue, contact VEVOR customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No hot water / Unit not turning on | No power supply; Gas supply off or empty; Water flow too low; Controller issue. | Check 12V DC power connection; Ensure propane tank is open and not empty; Verify water pressure meets minimum flow rate (2.8 L/min); Check controller connections. |
| Water not hot enough | Temperature setting too low; Insufficient gas pressure; Water flow too high. | Increase temperature setting on controller; Check gas pressure; Reduce water flow to allow more time for heating. |
| Error codes (e.g., E5, EE) | Sensor malfunction; Fan failure; Pressure switch issue. | Refer to the specific error code in the full user manual (if available) or contact VEVOR customer service for diagnosis and repair. |
| Water leakage | Loose water connections; Damaged seals/pipes. | Tighten all water connections; Inspect pipes and seals for damage and replace if necessary. |
| Gas smell / Gas leakage | Loose gas connections; Damaged gas line. | Immediately turn off gas supply. Ventilate the area. Do not operate any electrical devices. Check all gas connections with soapy water. If bubbles appear, tighten or replace components. If smell persists, evacuate and contact emergency services/qualified technician. |
