1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your DEKOPRO Electric Wood Chipper Shredder. 2. Important Safety Instructions

Always prioritize safety when operating power tools. Read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before use.

• Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear appropriate eye protection (safety glasses or goggles) and hearing protection (earmuffs or earplugs) to prevent injury from debris and noise.
• Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the specifications of the chipper (120V~60Hz, 15-Amp). Do not operate in wet conditions or expose the unit to rain. The unit is equipped with a UL-Certified Safe Plug.
• Overload Protection: The chipper features an overload protection reset button. If the motor overloads, the system will automatically shut off power. Allow the unit to cool before pressing the reset button and resuming operation.
• Material Feeding: Never insert hands or feet into the feeding chute or discharge opening. Use the provided material feed pusher to guide materials into the chipper, especially when material gets close to the blades.
• Clear Work Area: Keep the work area clear of bystanders, children, and pets. Ensure a stable and level surface for operation.
• Proper Material: Only feed materials within the specified cutting diameter (up to 1.77 inches). Avoid feeding metal, rocks, glass, or other non-organic materials that can damage the blades or motor.

3. Assembly

The DEKOPRO Electric Wood Chipper Shredder is designed for easy assembly. Follow the instructions provided in the separate assembly guide for detailed steps. Key components include attaching the support tubes, wheels, and the 50L collection bag.

4. Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure the collection bag is securely attached and the unit is placed on a stable, level surface. Connect the power cord to a suitable 120V~60Hz outlet.

1. Starting the Unit: Locate the power switch, typically on the back or side of the unit, and turn it to the "ON" position. The motor will begin to run.
2. Feeding Material: Carefully feed branches, twigs, leaves, and other yard waste into the top hopper. The chipper is designed to shred materials up to 1.77 inches in cutting diameter.
3. Using the Push Paddle: For smaller or stubborn materials, use the provided material feed pusher to safely guide them into the cutting mechanism. Never use your hands.
4. Material Processing: The double-sided blade system will efficiently shred the material, which will then fall into the attached 50-liter collection bag.

• Blade System: The double-sided blade system is designed for long-lasting performance. Periodically inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Refer to the assembly guide for instructions on accessing and maintaining the cutter cover and blades.
• Cleaning: After each use, ensure the unit is unplugged and cool. Clean any accumulated debris from the hopper, chute, and around the blades. A brush or compressed air can be used.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your chipper, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Unit Does Not Start:
  • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
  • Verify that the power switch is in the "ON" position.
  • Check the overload protection reset button. If it has tripped, allow the motor to cool down for several minutes before pressing it to reset.
• Material Not Shredding Effectively:
  • Ensure the material being fed is within the specified 1.77-inch diameter.
  • Check the blades for dullness or damage. Refer to the maintenance section for blade inspection.
  • Adjust the pressure plate adjustment screw if necessary, as per the assembly guide, to ensure proper contact with the material.
• Unit Jams:
