Setup
1. Initial Winding
Your Sea Explorer watch is powered by an automatic movement, meaning it winds itself with the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or is low on power, manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in the closed position (position 0). This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
2. Setting Time and Date
- Unscrew the Crown: Before pulling the crown, gently unscrew it counter-clockwise until it is free from the case. This is a screw-down crown designed for water resistance.
- Set the Date (Position 1): Pull the crown out to the first click (Position 1). Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
- Set the Time (Position 2): Pull the crown out to the second click (Position 2). The second hand will stop. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time, set the time a few minutes ahead and then turn the crown backward to the correct time. Push the crown back to Position 0 once the time is set.
- Secure the Crown: While gently pushing the crown inwards, screw it clockwise back into the case until it is tight. This ensures the watch's water resistance.

3. Bracelet Adjustment
The black stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by removing links for a customized fit. It is recommended to have this adjustment performed by a professional watchmaker or an authorized service center to prevent damage to the bracelet or watch.

Operating the Watch
Automatic Movement
The Emporio Armani Sea Explorer is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. This movement is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. When worn regularly, the watch will remain wound. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding as described in the 'Initial Winding' section.
Water Resistance (20 ATM / 200m)
This watch is ISO 6425 certified for diving and has a water resistance rating of 20 ATM (200 meters or 660 feet). This makes it suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and swimming. However, it is not intended for saturation diving. Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water.
Super-LumiNova Dial
The dial, hands, indexes, and bezel markings feature Super-LumiNova, a luminous material that absorbs light and glows in dark conditions. This provides optimal visibility underwater or in low-light environments. Exposure to light will charge the luminescence.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, damp cloth after exposure to saltwater or perspiration. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The original watch box provides excellent protection.

Service
For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to have your watch serviced by an authorized Emporio Armani service center every 3-5 years. Regular servicing includes cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of the movement, as well as replacement of seals to maintain water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Watch has stopped: If the watch has stopped, it may need to be manually wound. Follow the 'Initial Winding' instructions in the Setup section. Ensure you are wearing the watch regularly for sufficient wrist movement to power the automatic mechanism.
- Date not changing correctly: Ensure the crown is fully pulled out to Position 1 when setting the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM. If the issue persists, consult an authorized service center.
- Water inside the watch: If you notice condensation or water inside the watch, immediately take it to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself, as this will void the warranty and can cause further damage.
