2. Setup and Initial Preparation

2.1 Humidifier Preparation

  1. Remove the crystal gel humidifier from its packaging.
  2. Inject a small amount of cigar moisturizing liquid or distilled water into the humidifier. Do not overfill.
  3. Allow the humidifier to absorb the liquid for approximately 12 hours.
  4. Place the prepared humidifier inside the humidor.

2.2 Seasoning the Humidor

Before storing cigars, it is recommended to season the humidor to ensure the cedar wood absorbs sufficient moisture. This helps maintain a stable humidity level for your cigars.

  • Wipe the interior cedar wood surfaces with a clean cloth lightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Place the prepared humidifier inside the humidor and close the lid.
  • Allow the humidor to sit for 24-48 hours, checking the hygrometer periodically. Repeat the process if the humidity is below the recommended range.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Monitoring Humidity with the Hygrometer

The humidor includes a high-precision hygrometer to monitor the internal humidity. The recommended humidity range for cigar storage is between 65% and 75%.

  • Observe the hygrometer reading regularly to ensure optimal conditions.
  • If the humidity falls below 65%, replenish the humidifier as described in Section 2.1.
  • Avoid humidity levels above 80% to prevent potential mold growth.

3.2 Using the Time Memory Feature

The humidor lid features a manual time memory dial. This allows you to record the date when you store your cigars, helping you track their aging process.

  • After placing cigars in the humidor, slide the indicators on the time memory dial to set the month (M) and day (D) of storage.

4.2 Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior acrylic surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • For the interior cedar, use a dry, soft cloth to gently remove any dust or debris. Do not use water or cleaning solutions on the cedar.

4.3 Storage Location

Store the humidor in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
