1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your GIFZES Money Counter Machine. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
Key Features
- Professional and Precise Detection: Multiple detection modes (UV, MG, IR) can be used individually or simultaneously. The LCD display shows red error codes and sounds an alarm for fake, broken, non-magnetic, or incorrectly sized banknotes.
- Efficient and Smooth Counting: Utilizes roller technology for quick counting of both new and old banknotes. Counts up to 1200 notes per minute without jams.
- Value Count Function: Calculates the total value of bills. Can be combined with Add mode for multi-denomination value calculation. Note: The machine does not automatically recognize bill denominations.
- Counterfeit Detection: Stops counting and displays an error code when suspect bills are detected by MG (magnetic), UV (ultraviolet), or IR (infrared) detection. All three modes can be used simultaneously or separately for enhanced accuracy.
- Easy to Use: Simple button operation for quick use by beginners, improving counting efficiency.

3. Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the money counter and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components listed in the package contents are present.
- Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or excessive dust.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the machine's power cord interface and then plug it into a suitable power outlet (US, EU, or UK socket type, depending on your model).
- External Display (Optional): If an external LED display is included, connect it to the external display screen interface on the machine.
- Power On: Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The machine will perform a self-test, and the digital display will illuminate.
4. Operating Instructions
The GIFZES Money Counter Machine offers various modes for efficient cash handling.
4.1 Basic Counting
- Ensure the machine is powered on.
- Neatly stack the banknotes and place them into the money inlet (hopper).
- The machine will automatically start counting. The total count will be displayed on the digital display.
- To restart counting, press the RESTART button.
4.2 Counterfeit Detection
The machine integrates multiple detection technologies to identify counterfeit bills.
- UV (Ultraviolet Detection): Detects security features visible under UV light.
- MG (Magnetic Detection): Checks for magnetic ink patterns present on genuine banknotes.
- IR (Infrared Detection): Verifies infrared security features.
- These modes can be activated individually or simultaneously using the dedicated MG and UV buttons. The machine will stop and display an error code if a suspect bill is detected.

4.3 Value Count Mode
This mode allows the machine to calculate the total monetary value of the bills.
- Press the VALUE button.
- Select a fixed denomination. For accurate value calculation, all banknotes in the batch must be of the same denomination.
- To calculate the sum of values for multi-denomination bills, activate the ADD mode in conjunction with the Value Count mode.
4.4 Add Mode
The Add mode accumulates the total count of multiple batches of bills.
- Press the ADD button to activate this mode.
- Count subsequent batches of bills. The machine will add the new count to the previous total.
4.5 Batch Mode
The Batch mode allows you to count bills into specific quantities.
- Press the BATCH button.
- Use the + and - buttons to set the desired batch quantity (e.g., 50, 100 bills).
- Place the bills in the hopper. The machine will count and stop once the set number of bills is reached. Remove the batch and place more bills to continue counting the next batch.
4.6 Currency Selection
The machine supports different currencies.
- Use the CUR button to switch between USD (United States Dollar) or EUR (Euro) as needed.
5. Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your money counter.
- Power Off: Always turn off and unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Cleaning Sensors: Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently clean the sensors located inside the bill path. Dust and debris can affect counting accuracy and detection.
- Cleaning Rollers: Carefully wipe the rubber rollers with a soft, damp cloth (lightly moistened with water or isopropyl alcohol). Ensure rollers are dry before use.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Clear Dust: Periodically clear any accumulated dust from the cooling window and other vents to ensure proper ventilation.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- Error Codes: If the LCD displays a red error code, it indicates a potential issue such as a fake, broken, non-magnetic, or incorrectly sized banknote. Remove the suspect bill from the stacker or hopper and press RESTART to continue counting.
- Bill Jams: If bills jam, turn off the machine, carefully open any accessible covers, and gently remove the jammed banknotes. Ensure bills are neatly stacked and not folded or creased before placing them in the hopper.
- Inaccurate Counts: Inaccurate counts can be caused by dirty sensors or rollers, or by bills that are excessively creased, torn, or stuck together. Clean the sensors and rollers as described in the Maintenance section. Ensure bills are in good condition and properly fanned before counting.
- Machine Not Starting: Check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the machine and a working power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Value Count Issues: If the value count is incorrect, ensure you have selected the correct denomination using the VALUE button. Remember that for single denomination value counting, all bills must be of that specific denomination. For mixed denominations, ensure ADD mode is also active.
