6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Foot Pedal Operation

The foot pedal controls both water addition and flushing:

  • To Add Water: Gently press the foot pedal halfway down. This will open the water valve, allowing water to fill the bowl. Release the pedal when the desired water level is reached.
  • To Flush: Press the foot pedal fully down to open the flush valve. This will allow waste to enter the holding tank and simultaneously rinse the bowl. Release the pedal to close the flush valve and seal the bowl.

  • Press the lever on the hand sprayer to activate the water flow.
  • Release the lever to stop the water flow.

7. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and hygiene:

  • Bowl Cleaning: Clean the enamel bowl regularly with a non-abrasive toilet cleaner and a soft brush or cloth. The enamel surface is designed for easy cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior plastic body with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic.
  • Seal Maintenance: Periodically inspect the flush valve seal for wear or damage. A worn seal can lead to water loss from the bowl or odors. Replace if necessary. The slide valve mechanism helps lock in odors.
  • Winterization: If the RV will be stored in freezing temperatures, ensure the toilet and water lines are properly winterized according to your RV manufacturer's guidelines to prevent damage from freezing water.
