Operating Instructions

Converting Between Swing and Day Bed

This swing chair features a 2-in-1 design, allowing it to convert from a 3-seat swing to a comfortable day bed. To convert:

  • From Swing to Day Bed: Gently push the backrest downwards until it locks into a flat, horizontal position. Ensure both sides are securely engaged.
  • From Day Bed to Swing: Lift the backrest upwards until it clicks into the upright seating position. Verify it is stable before use.

Adjusting the Canopy

The canopy top is designed to provide shade and can be tilted to block the sun from various angles. Locate the adjustment knobs on the sides of the canopy frame. Loosen the knobs, adjust the canopy to your desired angle, and then tighten the knobs to secure it in place.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your swing chair.

  • Cleaning the Frame: The steel frame has a powder-coated finish. Clean with a mild soap and water solution and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent rust.
  • Cleaning the Fabric: The polyester fabric seat and canopy are weather-resistant. Spot clean with a mild detergent and water. For deeper cleaning, remove the fabric if possible and hand wash. Allow to air dry completely.
  • Seasonal Storage: During off-season or prolonged periods of non-use, it is recommended to store the swing chair in a dry, protected area to prevent wear from harsh weather conditions.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Tighten as necessary.

Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty Converting to Day Bed: Ensure that the backrest mechanism is fully disengaged from the upright position before attempting to push it down. Apply even pressure to both sides of the backrest. If resistance is met, check for any obstructions or misalignments in the locking pins.
  • Swing Feels Unstable: Verify that the swing is placed on a flat, level surface. Check all frame connections and bolts for tightness. Ensure the hanging chains are correctly attached to the strong spring hooks.
  • Canopy Does Not Stay in Position: Confirm that the adjustment knobs on the canopy frame are tightened sufficiently after setting the desired angle.
