4. Setup and Installation

The VEVOR Induction Cooktop offers two installation options: built-in or countertop use.

4.1 Countertop Installation

For countertop use, simply place the cooktop on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation. Install the provided foot pads before using it on a desktop to prevent scratching and ensure stability.

4.2 Built-in Installation

For built-in installation, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare a heat-resistant countertop with a cutout size of 285mm x 495mm (11.2 x 19.5 inches).
  2. Ensure at least 50mm (2 inches) of space around the unit and a countertop thickness of 30mm (1.2 inches).
  3. If installing above an oven or other appliance, ensure it has its own cooling system. Do not install the cooktop directly above a dishwasher or washing machine.
  4. Connect the cooktop to the 120V 60Hz electrical supply. Refer to the wiring diagram for proper connection (Red Wire, Black Wire, Green Wire for Grounding). This should be done by a qualified professional.

6. Compatible Cookware

Induction cooktops require cookware with magnetic properties. The VEVOR Induction Cooktop is highly compatible with various heat-resistant cookware types that are magnetic.

  • Recommended: Cast iron, magnetic stainless steel, enamel iron, or steel with a magnetic base.
  • Not Compatible: Aluminum, copper, glass, ceramic, or non-magnetic stainless steel.

To check if your cookware is compatible, hold a magnet to the bottom of the pan. If the magnet sticks firmly, the cookware is suitable for induction cooking.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the cooktop to cool completely. Wipe the glass surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.
  • Stubborn Stains: For stubborn food residues, use a ceramic cooktop cleaner and a non-abrasive pad. Follow the cleaner's instructions.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or sharp objects that could scratch the glass surface.
  • Impact Protection: The micro-crystal panel is durable but handle items with care; avoid heavy impacts to prevent damage.
