3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the speaker and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.
  4. Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off, depending on the model.

A full charge provides up to 12 hours of playtime.

3.2 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power button until you hear an audible cue and the indicator light illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power button again until you hear an audible cue and the indicator light turns off.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing

The Philips S1509 uses Bluetooth 5.3 for a stable and fast connection.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in pairing mode (the Bluetooth indicator light will typically flash).
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.

3.4 TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

For an enhanced audio experience, you can pair two identical Philips S1509 speakers together for stereo sound.

4. Operating the Speaker

4.1 Basic Controls

  • Volume Up/Down: Press the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the volume.

  • Next/Previous Track: Double-press the '+' button for the next track, and double-press the '-' button for the previous track.

4.2 Hands-Free Calling

  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Play/Pause button to reject an incoming call.

4.3 Waterproof Functionality (IPX7)

The Philips S1509 is IPX7 rated, meaning it is protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water. It can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
