1. Introduction

This electric pool heat pump is designed to efficiently heat and cool water in above-ground and in-ground pools, providing a comfortable swimming experience. It features a high heating capacity, precise temperature control, and energy-efficient operation.

2. Safety Instructions

Always adhere to the following safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Ensure the power supply matches the specifications listed on the product label.
  • Do not operate the heat pump if the power cord or plug is damaged.
  • Keep children and pets away from the unit during operation.
  • Ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock.
  • Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents of the unit.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Placement

Select a suitable location for the heat pump. It should be placed on a solid, level surface, preferably concrete, and close to the pool and existing filtration system. Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit; do not place it in an enclosed space. Maintain at least 20 inches (50 cm) of clear space around the air intake and exhaust sides.

4.2. Plumbing Connection

The heat pump should be installed after the pool filter and before any chemical feeders. Water flows from the pool pump, through the filter, then to the heat pump, and finally back to the pool. Use the provided universal metric-imperial connector kit for secure connections.

4.3. Electrical Connection

This unit operates on AC120V, 60Hz. Ensure your electrical circuit can support the power requirements of the heat pump. The unit comes with a leakage protection plug, ready for use with no additional wiring required for the plug itself. Always connect to a properly grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Control Panel Overview

The heat pump features a smart programmable control panel for easy operation. It allows for customizable control, real-time monitoring, and intelligent linkage with the unit's functions.

5.2. Setting Temperature

Use the control panel to set your desired water temperature. The heating temperature range is 60-104°F (15.6-40°C), and the cooling temperature range is 46-82°F (7.8-27.8°C). The unit will automatically adjust its operation to maintain the set temperature.

5.3. Heating and Cooling Modes

The VEVOR heat pump offers both heating and cooling functionalities. Select the appropriate mode based on your desired pool water temperature. The unit will automatically switch between heating and cooling as needed to maintain the set point.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heat pump.

6.1. Cleaning

  • Periodically clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Ensure the air intake and exhaust grilles are free from debris, leaves, and other obstructions.

6.2. Winterization

If you live in an area with freezing temperatures, it is crucial to properly winterize your heat pump to prevent damage:

  • Turn off the power supply to the unit.
  • Drain all water from the heat pump and plumbing lines.
  • Disconnect the water lines and store them in a dry place.
  • Cover the unit with a protective, breathable cover to shield it from harsh weather.

6.3. Durability Features

The VEVOR heat pump is built with a high-performance compressor and a titanium tube heat exchanger, providing resistance to salt, chlorine, and corrosion. This design minimizes maintenance needs and ensures stable, long-term operation.

7. Troubleshooting
