  • Multiple Protections: Includes overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, overtemperature, and short circuit protection.

2. Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before installing and operating the inverter. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or property damage.

  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Environment: Do not expose the inverter to rain, moisture, direct sunlight, or heat sources. Operate in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area.
  • Flammable Materials: Do not operate the inverter near flammable liquids or gases.
  • Connections: Ensure all DC and AC connections are tight and secure. Loose connections can cause overheating and fire.
  • Cable Sizing: Use appropriate gauge cables for DC input connections. Undersized cables can lead to voltage drop and overheating. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about cable sizing. Note: The included cables may not be sufficient for all applications, especially for direct connection to a car battery for high power draw. Consider upgrading to thicker cables (e.g., 35mm² or larger) for optimal safety and performance.
  • Grounding: The inverter should be properly grounded.
  • Children: Keep the inverter out of reach of children.
  • Maintenance: Do not attempt to service the inverter yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Fuses: The inverter contains internal fuses. Do not attempt to replace them unless you are qualified.
  • Load Matching: Do not exceed the inverter's rated power (1000W continuous, 2000W peak). Overloading can damage the inverter and connected devices.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your FLAMEZUM power inverter.

3.2 Connecting the Inverter to a 12V DC Power Source

  1. Prepare the Battery: Ensure the 12V DC battery is fully charged and in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Turn Off Inverter: Make sure the inverter's power switch is in the "OFF" position.
  3. Connect DC Cables:
    • Connect the red battery cable to the positive (+) terminal of the inverter.
    • Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) terminal of the inverter.
    • Connect the other end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V battery.
    • Connect the other end of the black cable to the negative (-) terminal of the 12V battery.

Important: Ensure correct polarity. Reversing polarity will damage the inverter and void the warranty. Tighten all connections securely to prevent arcing and overheating.

  4. Cigarette Lighter Connection (for low power devices only): For loads under 150W, you may use the included cigarette lighter plug cable. Connect the plug to your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket and the other end to the inverter's DC input terminals (observing polarity). Do not use the cigarette lighter connection for loads exceeding 150W to prevent damage to your vehicle's electrical system.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the inverter is properly connected to a 12V DC power source, you can begin operation.

4.1 Powering On and Connecting Devices

  1. Turn On Inverter: Flip the ON/OFF switch on the inverter to the "ON" position. The LCD display will illuminate, showing the input voltage (DC) and output voltage (AC).
  2. Connect AC Devices: Plug your AC appliances into the EU AC outlet on the inverter. Ensure the total power consumption of your devices does not exceed 1000W.
  3. Connect USB Devices: Plug your USB-powered devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets) into the USB ports. The total current for both USB ports is 3.4A.
  4. Monitor Display: Observe the LCD display for real-time voltage readings and any protection codes (see Troubleshooting section).
