7. Tighten the Top Tether strap until the indicator on the strap turns green, ensuring it is taut and secure.

3. Vehicle Seat Belt Installation (Alternative)

If your vehicle does not have ISOFIX anchor points, or for specific installation needs, the car seat can be secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

1. Place the car seat on the vehicle's seat.
2. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated belt guides on the car seat. Ensure the lap belt portion is routed correctly over the child's hips and the diagonal belt over the shoulder.
3. Buckle the vehicle's seat belt and pull it taut to remove any slack, ensuring the car seat is firmly secured and does not move excessively.

Operating the Car Seat

1. Securing Your Child (76-105 cm, using 5-point harness)

1. Place your child in the car seat.
2. Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the buckle until you hear a "click".
3. Pull the harness adjustment strap (usually located at the front of the seat) to tighten the harness. Ensure the straps are snug against your child's body, with no more than two fingers fitting between the strap and the child's collarbone.
4. Adjust the shoulder straps to be at or just below your child's shoulders.

2. Securing Your Child (100-150 cm, using vehicle's seat belt)

Once your child reaches 100 cm in height, the 5-point harness can be removed, and the child can be secured using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

1. Remove the 5-point harness system according to the instructions in the maintenance section.
2. Place your child in the car seat.
3. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the red belt guides on the car seat. The lap belt should sit low across your child's hips, and the diagonal belt should rest across the center of their shoulder and chest, not on their neck.
4. Buckle the vehicle's seat belt and pull it taut to ensure a snug fit.

3. Adjusting the Headrest and Recline

• Headrest Adjustment: To adjust the headrest height, locate the adjustment handle at the top of the headrest (refer to image). Squeeze the handle and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. Ensure the headrest is adjusted so that the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders (when using the 5-point harness) or so that the vehicle's shoulder belt rests correctly (when using the vehicle belt). The i-FLIT features 12 adjustable headrest positions.
• Recline Adjustment: The car seat offers two recline positions. Locate the recline adjustment lever (usually at the front or side of the base). Pull the lever and tilt the seat to the desired recline angle. Ensure the seat is securely locked in the chosen position.
