4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Choosing the Correct Size
Before installation, it is crucial to select the correct seatpost diameter for your bicycle frame. Measure the inside diameter of your bike frame's seat tube or check the diameter of your original seatpost.

4.2 Seatpost Installation
- Remove your existing seatpost and saddle from the bicycle frame.
- Attach your bicycle saddle to the CXWXC Suspension Seatpost using the double track with 2 bolts clamping mechanism. Ensure the bolts are securely tightened.
- Insert the CXWXC Suspension Seatpost into your bike frame's seat tube.
- Important: Ensure that the part of the seatpost under the minimum insertion safety line is completely inserted into the seat tube of the frame. This is critical for safe operation and to prevent damage to the frame or seatpost.
- Adjust the seatpost height to your preferred riding position and secure it using your bike's seatpost clamp.

4.3 Saddle Angle Adjustment
The saddle angle can be adjusted from -5° to +18° to improve riding comfort. Loosen the two bolts on the saddle clamp, adjust the saddle to the desired angle, and then securely tighten the bolts.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Spring Tension Adjustment
The suspension seatpost features an adjustable coil spring to customize the dampening based on rider weight. The adjustment nut is located at the bottom of the seatpost.
- To adjust, use an appropriate hex key to turn the bottom nut.
- For heavier riders, tighten the bottom nut clockwise to increase spring tension.
- For lighter riders, loosen the bottom nut counter-clockwise to decrease spring tension.
Adjust the tension until the spring compresses just enough under your weight, preventing excessive movement during pedaling on smooth roads while still absorbing bumps effectively. Proper adjustment ensures maximum comfort and performance.

6. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the seatpost clean, especially the exposed shaft, to prevent dirt and grime from entering the suspension mechanism. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of bicycle-specific grease or lubricant to the exposed shaft and around the seal rubber ring to ensure smooth operation and protect against dust and moisture.
- Bolt Check: Regularly inspect and tighten the saddle clamp bolts and any other fasteners to ensure they are secure. Loose bolts can lead to saddle instability or detachment.
- Inspection: Check for any signs of wear, damage, or unusual play in the seatpost. If any issues are detected, consult a professional bicycle mechanic.
- Avoid Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble the internal suspension mechanism unless you are a qualified technician, as this may void the warranty and could lead to improper function.
7. Troubleshooting
- Saddle Twisting/Wobbling: This often indicates that the saddle clamp bolts are not sufficiently tightened. Ensure both bolts are tightened securely and evenly.
- Seatpost Not Absorbing Shocks: Check the spring tension adjustment. If it's too tight for your weight, loosen the bottom nut counter-clockwise.
- Seatpost Too Bouncy/Bottoming Out: This suggests the spring tension is too loose for your weight. Tighten the bottom nut clockwise to increase tension.
- Seatpost Not Returning to Full Height: This could be due to internal friction from dirt or lack of lubrication, or a binding issue within the mechanism. Clean and lubricate the exposed shaft. If the problem persists, professional inspection may be required.
- Creaking Noises: Ensure all bolts are tight. Clean and lightly grease the saddle rails and the seatpost clamp area. Check if the seatpost is adequately lubricated.
- Difficulty Adjusting Saddle Angle: Loosen the two saddle clamp bolts sufficiently before attempting to adjust the angle. Ensure no dirt is obstructing the mechanism.
