Follow these steps to set up your washing machine for first-time use.

  1. Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or tapes. Inspect the machine for any damage that may have occurred during shipping.
  2. Placement:
    • Place the washing machine on a firm, level surface to minimize vibration and noise during operation.
    • Ensure there is sufficient space around the machine for ventilation and access.
    • Position the machine near a water source (faucet) and a drain.
  3. Connecting Water Inlet Hose:
    • Locate the water inlet hose provided in the package.
    • Connect one end of the hose to the water inlet port on the washing machine (usually located at the back or side).
    • Connect the other end of the hose to a suitable water faucet. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  4. Positioning Drain Pipe:
    • The machine comes with a built-in drain pump and a drain pipe.

6.1. Washing Cycle

  1. Load Laundry: Open the lid of the wash tub and place your clothes inside. Do not exceed the rated washing capacity of 7.7 lbs. Distribute clothes evenly.
  2. Add Water: Fill the wash tub with water to the desired level. You can use the water inlet hose or manually pour water.
  3. Add Detergent: Add the appropriate amount of laundry detergent directly into the wash tub.
  4. Select Wash Mode (if applicable): Some models may have different wash modes (e.g., gentle, normal). Select the desired mode using the control knob.
  5. Set Wash Timer: Turn the "Wash Timer" knob to set the desired washing time (e.g., 0-15 minutes). The machine will start washing automatically.
  6. Drain Water: Once the wash cycle is complete, turn the "Drain" knob or switch to the drain position to empty the water from the wash tub. The built-in drain pump will assist in this process.

6.2. Spin Cycle

  1. Transfer Laundry: Carefully transfer the washed clothes from the wash tub to the spin tub. Ensure clothes are evenly distributed inside the spin tub to prevent imbalance and excessive vibration.
  2. Secure Spin Lid: Close the inner lid and the outer lid of the spin tub securely.
  3. Set Spin Timer: Turn the "Spin Timer" knob to set the desired spinning time (e.g., 0-5 minutes). The machine will begin spinning.

  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cleaning the Interior: After each use, wipe down the inside of the wash and spin tubs to remove any residue or lint. You can occasionally run a short cycle with just water and a small amount of vinegar to clean the tubs.
  • Drain Filter (if applicable): While not explicitly detailed for this model, many portable washers have a lint filter or drain filter. Check your machine for any removable filters and clean them regularly to prevent blockages.
  • Water Inlet Hose: Periodically check the water inlet hose for cracks or leaks. Replace if necessary.
  • Storage: If storing the machine for an extended period, ensure it is completely drained and dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Detachable Lid: The lid of the spin tub is designed to be detachable for easier cleaning and access. Refer to Figure 7 for visual guidance.
