3. Assembly and Setup

Your snow blower requires minor assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully.

3.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  • Check the contents against the packing list to ensure all parts are present.
  • Remove any protective materials or shipping restraints.

3.2 Handle Assembly

  • Attach the upper handle to the lower handle using the provided bolts and knobs. Ensure the handle is securely fastened.
  • Route the power cord along the handle and secure it with the provided clips to prevent it from interfering with operation.

3.3 Chute Assembly

  • Mount the discharge chute onto the snow blower housing.
  • Connect the chute rotation control rod to the chute and the handle mechanism. Test the rotation to ensure smooth movement.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your snow blower.

4.1 Pre-Operation Checks

  • Inspect the power cord and extension cord for any damage or cuts. Do not use if damaged.

4.2 Starting the Snow Blower

  • Connect the extension cord to the snow blower's power inlet, then plug the extension cord into a grounded outdoor outlet.
  • Press and hold the safety button (Step 1).
  • While holding the safety button, squeeze the bail switch handle (Step 2). The auger will begin to rotate.
  • Release the safety button once the motor is running, keeping the bail switch handle engaged for continuous operation.

4.3 Operating Technique

  • Push the snow blower forward at a comfortable pace, allowing the auger to clear the snow effectively.
  • Overlap each pass slightly to ensure complete snow removal.
  • For deep snow, clear a narrower path or make multiple passes.

4.4 Adjusting the Discharge Chute

The 180-degree adjustable chute allows you to control the direction of snow discharge.

  • Use the chute control handle located on the main handle to rotate the discharge chute left or right.
  • Adjust the deflector on top of the chute to control the height and distance of the snow throw.

4.5 Stopping the Snow Blower

  • Release the bail switch handle. The motor will stop, and the auger will cease rotation.
  • Always disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet after use and before leaving the machine unattended.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your snow blower. Always disconnect power before maintenance.

5.1 Cleaning

  • After each use, clear any snow or ice buildup from the auger housing, chute, and motor vents. Use a plastic scraper or brush; never use your hands.
  • Wipe down exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

5.2 Cord Inspection

  • Periodically inspect the power cord and extension cord for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Replace damaged cords immediately.

5.4 Storage

6. Troubleshooting
