The adapter requires a USB-C port that supports video output or DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode). This includes:

Setup and Installation
This adapter requires a driver installation for full functionality, especially for extended display modes (AAAA, ABBB, ABCD). If the driver is not installed successfully, only one screen may be displayed.

Windows Driver Installation Guide:
- Step 1: Connect the adapter to your laptop/PC. Find the "USBDISPLAY" drive in "This PC" on your computer.
- Step 2: Click the icon "WinUSBDisplay_Windows_V4.1.10.25" (or similar version) to run the program.
- Step 3: If a firewall prompt pops up, select "Yes" to allow the app to make changes to your device.
- Step 4: Click "Next" in all pop-up windows to successfully install the driver.
- Step 5: After installation, restart your computer.
- Step 6: Find the "System" in "Settings" and select "extend desktop to this display" to set different extension modes.
- Step 7: Scroll down in the "System" settings and find "Display resolution" to set the resolution.

Mac OS Driver Installation Guide:
- Step 1: Connect the adapter to your Mac. Find the "USBDISPLAY" drive on your desktop.
- Step 2: Select and open the driver for Mac OS (UsbDisplay_MacOS).
- Step 3: Double-click the file named "UsbDisplay.pkg" to install the driver. Click 'continue', then 'install' and enter your Mac password to install it.
- Step 4: After the installation is complete, please click "Restart" to restart your computer.
- Step 5: After the restart is complete, the settings will pop up automatically.
- Step 6: Find and open "MacUsbDisplay" in "Privacy & Security", grant access to this application in Privacy & Security settings, located in System Settings.
- Step 7: In the "Displays" section, you can set the mirroring and extension modes normally, and set the resolution.

Operating Modes

Display Modes for Windows:
For Windows systems, the adapter supports the following display modes:
- ABCD (Extended Mode 1): Laptop display (A) and three external monitors (B, C, D) showing different content. This mode requires driver installation.
- AABC (Extended Mode 2): Laptop display (A) and two external monitors (B, C) showing different content, with one external monitor mirroring another. This mode requires driver installation.

- About Driver: This item requires driver installation. The driver is included with the product. For Mac, the driver "USBDISPLAY" will be saved on the desktop. For Windows, the driver "USBDISPLAY" will be saved in "This PC". Ensure the driver is installed correctly as per the Setup and Installation section.
- About Compatibility: These USB-C ports must support video output or DP Alt Mode. As long as your device's USB-C or USB-A port is compatible with USB C/A 3.0, Thunderbolt 3 or higher specifications (or supports USB C interface of DP version 1.2 or above), you can use this product. Refer to the Compatibility section for detailed requirements.
- About the product not being able to expand (only 1 screen displayed):
- The driver needs to be installed successfully. If the driver installation is unsuccessful, the AAAA, ABBB, ABCD modes cannot be realized, and only 1 screen will be displayed.
- If the driver is installed for the first time, the PC/Laptop needs to be restarted after successful installation.
- The extended mode needs to be set in the PC/Laptop's display settings after driver installation and restart.
- About screen flickering: To prevent screen flickering or intermittent signals, we suggest using HDMI 2.0 (19+1 PIN) cables, and the length should not exceed 16.4 feet (5m). Alternatively, use HDMI 1.4 (19+1 PIN) cables, and the length should not exceed 9.8 feet (3m).
