4. Setup

  1. Charge the Device: Before first use, fully charge the borescope using the provided charging cable. Connect the cable to the device's charging port and a suitable USB power source. The charging indicator will show the status.
  2. Attach the Screen: Securely attach the 5-inch IPS screen to the main handle unit. Ensure the connection is firm to prevent accidental detachment during use.
  3. Connect the Probe: Insert the 6.2mm flexible probe cable into the designated port on the handle unit. Ensure it is fully seated to establish a stable connection for video signal transmission.
  4. Insert MicroSD Card: Locate the MicroSD card slot (typically on the side of the screen unit) and insert the included 32GB MicroSD card. This is necessary for saving photos and videos.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button (usually located on the handle or screen) to turn the device on or off. The screen will illuminate upon successful power-on.
  2. Probe Articulation: Use the joystick control on the handle to articulate the 6.2mm probe. Move the joystick in the desired direction (up, down, left, right) to bend the probe tip. The probe can rotate 360 degrees for comprehensive viewing.
  3. Adjust LED Lights: Press the light adjustment button (often indicated by a light bulb icon) to cycle through the 4 adjustable brightness levels of the LED lights on the probe tip. This helps illuminate dark inspection areas.
  4. Zoom Function: Use the zoom buttons (e.g., '+' and '-' or dedicated zoom icons) on the screen unit to digitally zoom the image by 1.0x, 2.0x, and 3.0x. Note that digital zoom may reduce image clarity.
  5. Image Rotation: Press the 180° image rotation button (often indicated by a rotation arrow icon) to flip the image on the screen. This is useful for adjusting the viewing orientation without physically re-positioning the device.
  6. Capture Photos/Videos: Press the dedicated record/capture button (often a trigger-style button on the handle or a camera icon on the screen) to take a still photo or start/stop video recording. Ensure the MicroSD card is inserted.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Probe and Lens: After each use, especially in dirty or oily environments, gently wipe the probe and camera lens with the provided cleaning wipe or a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn grime, a small amount of isopropyl alcohol can be used. Ensure the lens is clean for optimal image quality.
  • Storage: Store the borescope in its original carrying case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the probe is not sharply bent or kinked during storage.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods (e.g., once every 3 months).
  • Water Resistance: The probe is rated IP67 waterproof, meaning it can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, the main unit (screen and handle) is not waterproof. Avoid exposing the main unit to liquids.
