Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

The MOES Sprinkler Timer requires 2 x AA alkaline batteries (not included). Ensure your hands are dry when handling batteries and installing them into the compartment.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the timer.
  2. Slide the battery cover open.
  3. Insert 2 x AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Securely close the battery cover until it clicks into place.

2. Attaching to Faucet

The timer is designed for easy attachment to standard 3/4-inch outdoor faucets.

  1. Ensure the faucet is turned off.
  2. Thread the brass inlet of the timer onto your outdoor faucet.
  3. Hand-tighten until secure. Do not overtighten.
  4. Connect your garden hoses to the two outlets at the bottom of the timer.

Operating Instructions

The timer features a rotary dial and four buttons for easy programming.

1. Setting the Clock

  1. Turn the dial to SET CLOCK.
  2. Use the +/- buttons to set the current hour and minutes.
  3. Press the OK button to switch between hours and minutes.
  4. Turn the dial to save changes.

2. Setting Start Time

  1. Turn the dial to START TIME.
  2. Press the ZONE button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
  3. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired start time for watering.
  4. Press the OK button to switch between hours and minutes.
  5. Turn the dial to save changes.

3. Setting How Long (Watering Duration)

  1. Turn the dial to HOW LONG.
  2. Press the ZONE button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
  3. Use the +/- buttons to set the watering duration (from 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes).
  4. Press the OK button to switch between hours and minutes.
  5. Turn the dial to save changes.

4. Setting How Often (Watering Frequency)

  1. Turn the dial to HOW OFTEN.
  2. Press the ZONE button to switch between Zone 1 and Zone 2.
  3. Use the +/- buttons to set the watering frequency (e.g., every 6 hours, every 2 days).
  4. Turn the dial to save changes.

5. Automatic Watering Mode

After setting the clock, start time, duration, and frequency, turn the dial to AUTO. The timer will now operate according to your programmed schedule.

6. Manual Watering Mode

To water immediately without affecting your programmed schedule:

  1. Turn the dial to AUTO.
  2. Press the OK/Manual button.
  3. Use the +/- buttons to select the desired watering duration (0 to 59 minutes).
  4. Press OK to start manual watering.
  5. To stop manual watering, press OK/Manual again. The timer will return to Auto mode.

7. Rain Delay Function

To temporarily pause watering due to rain:

  1. Hold and press the + button for 5 seconds until "Rain" appears on the screen.
  2. Use the +/- buttons to set the duration of the delay (from 1 to 7 days).
  3. Press OK to save changes.
  4. To quit the Rain Delay, hold and press the + button for 5 seconds again.

8. Child Lock Function

To prevent accidental changes to settings:

  1. Hold and press the - button for 5 seconds until "LOCK" appears on the screen.
  2. To cancel the lock, hold and press the - button for 5 seconds again.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen. Always use new AA alkaline batteries.
  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the timer's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Filter Cleaning: The brass inlet contains a built-in filter to prevent debris from entering the timer. Regularly check and clean this filter to ensure optimal water flow and prevent clogging.
  • Winterization: Before freezing temperatures, disconnect the timer from the faucet and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location. Remove batteries before storage.
