- Hammer (for dowels)
- Allen Wrench (if specific fasteners require it)
Setup and Assembly
Follow the step-by-step diagrams provided in the included instruction booklet. Pay close attention to the orientation of each piece to avoid incorrect assembly. Do not overtighten screws, as this can damage the engineered wood panels.
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a soft, clean surface. Compare each piece to the parts list and diagrams in your instruction booklet to ensure everything is present and undamaged.
- Assemble the Base Frame: Begin by connecting the base panels and side panels according to the diagrams. Ensure all dowels are fully inserted and cam locks are securely fastened.
- Install Shelves and Dividers: Insert the internal shelves and dividers into their designated slots.
- Assemble Drawers: Construct the two deep drawers. Attach the drawer slides to both the drawers and the main cabinet frame.
- Attach Cabinet Doors: Secure the hinges to the cabinet doors and then attach the doors to the main frame. Adjust hinges as needed to ensure doors are aligned and close properly. Install magnetic closures if separate.
- Install Wheels: Attach the four rubber universal wheels to the bottom of the island. Ensure the two wheels with brakes are positioned for easy access.
- Attach Drop Leaf Mechanism: Secure the sturdy triangular brackets for the drop leaf to the main body and the drop leaf panel.

Operating Instructions
Using the Drop Leaf Countertop
The drop leaf feature allows you to expand your counter space as needed. To extend, simply lift the drop leaf panel until the support brackets lock into place. To fold down, release the locking mechanism on the brackets and gently lower the panel.

Using the Hidden Tilt-Out Trash Can Cabinet
The cabinet on the left side is designed to conceal a trash can. Pull the handle on the cabinet door to tilt it outwards. The door opens approximately 22 degrees, allowing access to place or remove a 7-gallon trash can (not included). This space can also be used for pet food storage or laundry.

Mobility and Locking Wheels
The kitchen island is equipped with four rubber universal wheels for easy movement. Two of these wheels include locking mechanisms. To lock the island in place, press down on the lever on the lockable wheels. To unlock and move, lift the lever.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
- Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining or damage to the engineered wood.
- Hardware: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture: Do not expose the island to excessive moisture or humidity, as this can cause warping or damage to the wood.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across shelves and the countertop to prevent stress on the structure.
Troubleshooting
- Difficulty with Assembly: If instructions seem unclear, carefully re-examine the diagrams and ensure each piece's orientation matches the illustration. Some parts may appear similar but have subtle differences.
- Parts Not Fitting/Damaged by Dowels: Ensure dowels are not inserted too far into panels before tightening cam locks. If dowels are pushing through, loosen fasteners, adjust dowel depth, and re-tighten carefully. Avoid excessive force during assembly.
- Doors or Drawers Are Crooked/Not Closing Properly: Check the alignment of hinges and drawer slides. Most hinges allow for minor adjustments using a screwdriver to align the doors. Ensure all screws are tightened evenly.
- Magnetic Closures Not Holding: Ensure the magnet and its corresponding plate are aligned correctly on the door and frame. If the magnet detaches, re-secure it with appropriate adhesive or screws, being careful not to damage the panel.
- Island is Wobbly: Verify that all fasteners are securely tightened. Ensure the island is on a level surface. Adjust the leveling feet if present, or place shims under the wheels if necessary.
