Product Overview

This APEX GARDEN Replacement Canopy Top is specifically designed for the Lowe's allen + roth 2021-2025 gazebo frame, originally sold at Lowe's stores. The canopy is made from 100% polyester fabric, which is UV-protected, fire-retardant (CPAI-84 US Standard), and water-repellent. Please note that water-repellent does not mean water-resistant; prolonged exposure to heavy rain may result in some water seepage.

This product includes the replacement canopy with an air vent only. The metal gazebo frame is not included.

Compatibility

This replacement canopy is engineered to fit ONLY the following Lowe's allen + roth 12-ft L x 10-ft W gazebo frames from 2021-2025:

  • Item Numbers: 2634987, 2808038, 2808039, 72255187, 482787
  • Manufacturer's Model Numbers: TPGAZ2303A, TPGAZ2303B, TPGAZ2303C, TPGAZ2303D, TPGAZ2403A, TPGAZ2403C

It is crucial to verify your gazebo's model number before purchase and installation. This canopy will not fit any other gazebo models.

Installation Guide

Installing the replacement canopy requires careful attention to detail. It is recommended to have at least two people for installation due to the size and tension required.

  1. Prepare the Gazebo Frame: Ensure your existing gazebo frame is clean, dry, and free from any damage. Remove the old canopy if it is still present.
  2. Unfold the New Canopy: Carefully unfold the new replacement canopy on a clean, flat surface, such as a lawn, to avoid tears or dirt. Identify the top and bottom sides, and the main canopy versus the air vent canopy.
  3. Attach Main Canopy to Frame: Drape the main canopy over the gazebo frame. Align the corners and edges with the frame's structure. Secure the canopy to the frame using the integrated attachment points (e.g., ties, hooks, or pockets) at each corner and along the edges. It may require significant stretching to achieve a snug fit.
  4. Install Air Vent Canopy: Position the smaller air vent canopy over the top tier of the gazebo frame. Secure it using the Velcro attachments or other fastening mechanisms provided. The Velcro ensures it stays in place and prevents movement.
  5. Final Adjustments: Once all sections are attached, check for even tension and proper alignment. Adjust as necessary to ensure the canopy is taut and securely fastened to all points of the frame.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your replacement canopy:

  • Cleaning: Clean the canopy regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the fabric or its protective coatings. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
  • Water Repellency: The canopy is water-repellent, not waterproof. For enhanced water resistance, consider applying a fabric waterproofing spray (e.g., Scotchgard or 303 Product fabric spray) before installation or at the beginning of each season.
  • UV Protection: The fabric is UV-protected to resist fading and degradation from sun exposure. However, prolonged intense sun can still affect its lifespan.
  • Seasonal Storage: During off-seasons or periods of extreme weather (heavy snow, strong winds), it is recommended to remove the canopy to prevent damage and prolong its life. Store it in a dry, protected area.

Troubleshooting

  • Tight Fit During Installation: The canopy is designed for a snug fit to prevent flapping and water pooling. It may require significant effort and two or more people to stretch it onto the frame. Ensure all frame components are correctly assembled and aligned before attempting to install the canopy.
  • Water Seepage: While the fabric is water-repellent, it is not fully waterproof. In heavy rainfall, minor water seepage may occur, particularly if the fabric loses its repellency over time or if water pools in certain areas. Applying a fabric waterproofing spray can help mitigate this.
  • Color Variation: The color of the replacement canopy may differ slightly from your original canopy due to manufacturing variations or aging of the original fabric.
