5.3 Connecting to Devices

The SoundLinker supports two primary Auracast modes for connecting to other devices:

5.3.1 Auracast 1-to-Many Broadcast Mode

In this mode, the SoundLinker transmits audio to multiple compatible Auracast receivers simultaneously, such as Auracast hearing aids, Auracast speakers, or Auracast headphones/earbuds. This is ideal for group listening or public broadcasts.

5.3.2 BLE CIS Mode (1-to-1 Transmission)

For private, bidirectional communication, the SoundLinker can connect to a single BLE Audio device (e.g., BLE earbuds, BLE speaker, BLE headphones) that supports LE Audio with CIS. This mode is suitable for personal audio streaming or remote microphone use with a single listener.
