This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of the Barphygo Electric Garage Heater 7500-Watt, 240V Hardwired model GH7500W.

1. Safety Information

Read all instructions carefully before using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death.

  • Electrical Requirements: This 240V hardwired heater must be grounded and hardwired to a properly sized current protection circuit breaker in accordance with the (US) National Electric Code and local codes. A professional electrician is recommended for installation. This heater does not come with a power cord.
  • Placement: For effective vertical airflow, locate the heater at least 8 inches away from any walls and at least 6 feet away from the floor. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding papers, clothes, and curtains, at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Overheat Protection: Equipped with a built-in sensor that monitors temperature and immediately shuts down the unit if overheating is detected, providing reliable protection against potential hazards.
  • Certification: The heater is ETL certified, ensuring safe use.
  • Hot Surfaces: This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Moisture: The heater is not to be used in wet or moist locations.

3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your heater. It is recommended to hire a professional electrician for hardwired installation.

  1. Location: For effective vertical airflow, locate the heater at least 8 inches away from any walls and at least 6 feet away from the floor.
  2. Mounting:
    • Locate a ceiling joist or other firm support to mount the heater.
    • Drill two pilot holes off-center for the screws.
    • Install the bracket with the included screws and washers.
    • Unscrew the small and large knobs on both sides of the heater.
    • Lift the heater, align the lower bracket holes with the threaded holes for the large knob-screws on both sides and tighten.
    • Aim the heater horizontally or tilt by aligning the upper bracket holes with the threaded holes for the small knob-screws on both sides and tighten.
  3. Hardwiring:
    • Remove all screws from the bottom panel of the heater.
    • Run the wiring through a cut-out on the side of the heater.
    • Connect the wire to the power block as instructed (Black wire to L1, Red wire to L2, Green wire to ground).
    • Install the bottom panel back and tighten it with screws.
  4. Adjust Louvers: Adjust the louvers in front of the heater as desired. Do not operate the heater with the front louvers closed.

4. Operating Instructions

The Barphygo Electric Garage Heater offers convenient operation via its LED touchscreen display and a full-featured remote control.

  • Power On/Off: Use the power button on the unit's touchscreen or the remote control to turn the heater on or off.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Adjust the desired temperature using the controls on the LED touchscreen or the remote control. The built-in thermostat will maintain the set temperature.
  • ECO Mode: Activate the smart ECO mode for energy-efficient operation. The heater will automatically adjust its working mode or turn off based on the current ambient temperature.
  • Timer Function: Set the auto shut-off timer for 1 to 8 hours to automatically turn off the heater after a specified duration.
  • Adjusting Louvers: Manually adjust the louvers to direct the airflow for efficient heating. Ensure louvers are not closed during operation.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure the unit is completely cool and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Air Intake/Outlet: Keep the air intake and outlet areas free from dust and debris to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the heater for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and stored in a safe, cool location.

6. Troubleshooting
