5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your RATTMMOTOR GRBL Controller Board and Offline Module, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep Clean: Regularly clean the board and module to prevent dust and debris accumulation, which can affect performance and cause overheating. Use a soft, dry cloth or compressed air.
  • Ensure Ventilation: The controller board includes a fan for heat dissipation. Ensure that the fan is not obstructed and operates correctly.
  • Check Connections: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for looseness or damage. Secure any loose connections to prevent intermittent operation or electrical issues.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the components in a dry, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RATTMMOTOR GRBL Controller Board or Offline Module, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Check the power supply connection and ensure it provides the correct voltage (DC 7-36V).
    • Verify the power switch on the board is in the 'ON' position.
  • Motors Not Moving:
    • Ensure all stepper motor connections are secure and correctly wired.
    • Check if the GRBL firmware is properly loaded and configured.
    • Verify that the G-code file is valid and selected on the offline controller.
  • Offline Controller Not Responding:
    • Ensure the offline controller is securely connected to the main board.
    • Check the SD card for proper insertion and file integrity.
    • Restart the system by cycling the power.
  • Inaccurate Engraving/Cutting:
    • Verify the calibration settings for your stepper motors in the GRBL firmware.
    • Check for mechanical issues with your CNC machine (e.g., loose belts, worn lead screws).
