Important Safety Information

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Initial Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
  2. Clean: Wash the removable parts (drip tray, reusable filter) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  3. Placement: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for proper ventilation.
  4. First Clean Cycle:
    • Fill the water reservoir with fresh water up to the MAX fill line.
    • Place an empty mug on the drip tray.
    • Close the lid.
    • Press the "HOT BREW" button to run a cycle without coffee. Discard the hot water.
    • Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the internal components are clean.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Hot Coffee (K-Cup Pods)

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water to your desired level (do not exceed MAX fill line).
  2. Lift the handle to open the brewing chamber.
  3. Insert a standard K-Cup pod into the K-Pod holder. Close the handle firmly until it clicks.
  4. Place your mug on the drip tray. For taller travel mugs, remove the drip tray.
  5. Select your desired brew strength:
    • Press "HOT BREW" for a classic coffee.
    • Press "STRONG" for a bolder coffee.
  6. The machine will begin brewing. Brewing typically takes a few minutes.
  7. Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your mug.

Brewing Hot Coffee (Ground Coffee)

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water to your desired level.
  2. Lift the handle to open the brewing chamber.
  3. Place your desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable ground coffee filter. Do not overfill.
  4. Insert the filled reusable filter into the brewing chamber. Close the handle firmly.
  5. Place your mug on the drip tray.
  6. Select your desired brew strength:
    • Press "HOT BREW" for a classic coffee.
    • Press "STRONG" for a bolder coffee.
  7. The machine will begin brewing.
  8. Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your mug.

Brewing Iced Coffee

  1. Fill your serving cup with ice cubes.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water. The amount of water should be equal to the amount of ice in your cup, or no more than half the capacity of your cup.
  3. Lift the handle and insert either a K-Cup pod or the reusable ground coffee filter with your preferred coffee. Close the handle firmly.
  4. Place your ice-filled cup on the drip tray.
  5. Press the "OVER ICE" button.
  6. The machine will brew coffee at a lower temperature directly over the ice.
  7. Once brewing is complete, your iced coffee is ready.

Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

  • Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
  • Remove the drip tray and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  • If using the reusable ground coffee filter, empty and wash it thoroughly after each use.
  • Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
  • The brewing chamber should be wiped clean periodically.

Descaling

Mineral deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. The "Power/Descaling" indicator light will illuminate when descaling is recommended.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water, or use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee makers.
  2. Place a large empty mug or container on the drip tray.
  3. Press and hold the "OVER ICE" button for 3 seconds to initiate the self-cleaning/descaling process. The machine will run a cycle to clean itself.
  4. After the cycle is complete, discard the solution.
  5. Rinse the reservoir and run 2-3 cycles with fresh water to remove any residual descaling solution.

Troubleshooting
