Troubleshooting
If your WowCatch trap is not performing as expected, consider the following:
- No Insects Caught:
- Ensure the protective film has been completely removed from the sticky card.
- Verify the device has been operating for a sufficient amount of time (at least 24-48 hours).
- Relocate the device to an area with higher insect activity.
- Check if the UV light is active. If not, ensure the housing is securely attached to the base and the unit is properly plugged into a functioning outlet.
- Sticky Card Not Staying in Place:
- Ensure the sticky card is correctly inserted into the designated slots within the housing.
- If the card still feels loose, a small piece of tape can be used to secure it, ensuring it does not cover the sticky surface or obstruct the light.
- Device Not Lighting Up:
- Confirm the device is firmly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Ensure the plug-in housing is fully and correctly seated onto the light base. The light automatically activates upon proper assembly.
