Assembly Instructions

Official Installation Video: This video provides a step-by-step visual guide for assembling your HOTEEL Hardtop Gazebo. It demonstrates the proper techniques for connecting components and securing the structure.
- Set up Poles with Base: Attach the base plates to the bottom of each main support pole using the designated screws. Ensure a secure connection.
- Connect Beams (Width & Length): Assemble the main horizontal beams by connecting the individual sections. Pay attention to the correct orientation for width and length beams.
- Connect Joint Bars & Sidewall Tracks into Beams: Secure the joint bars and sidewall tracks into the pre-drilled holes on the main beams. These tracks will later hold the curtains and netting.
- Connect Poles and Beams: With assistance, carefully lift and connect the assembled beams to the top of the main support poles. Secure all connections with the provided fasteners. This step requires multiple people for stability.
- Affix Frame with Solidifying Bars: Install the solidifying bars to reinforce the frame structure. These bars provide additional stability and rigidity to the gazebo.
- Install Hanging Hooks: Attach the small hanging hooks along the inside of the roof frame. These hooks are essential for hanging the mosquito netting and privacy curtains.
- Affix Joint Covers: Place the decorative joint covers over the corner connections of the roof frame. Secure them with the appropriate screws to complete the aesthetic and provide additional stability.
- Assemble Roof Bar and Inside Roof Connector: Assemble the roof bars and their corresponding inside roof connectors. These form the internal structure that supports the roof panels.
- Connect Inside Roof Connector with Corner Roof Bar: Connect the inside roof connectors to the corner roof bars, forming the upper framework of the roof.
- Connect Outside Roof Connector to Inside Roof: Secure the outside roof connectors to the inside roof connectors, further strengthening the roof structure.
- Connect Poles and Middle Beams: Attach any remaining poles or middle beams to complete the main frame, ensuring all connections are tight.
- Attach Net Frames with Finishing End: Assemble and attach the net frames, ensuring the finishing ends are properly secured.
- Fix Cross-Bars on Roof Bar: Securely fix each end of the cross-bars onto the roof bars. These provide crucial support for the roof panels.
- Insert Hooks into Cross-Bar: Insert the remaining hooks into the cross-bars, which will be used for hanging the roof netting.
- Assemble the Roof Panel (Width & Length): Carefully assemble the galvanized steel roof panels, starting with the width sections and then the length sections. Ensure they interlock correctly and are aligned.
- Affix Solidify Bars to Roof Bar: Attach any remaining solidify bars to the roof bars for added structural integrity.
- Install the Roof Panel: Secure the roof panels to the frame using the provided screws and washers. Ensure all panels are tightly fastened to prevent leaks and ensure stability.
- Attach Top Mosquito Netting: Install the top mosquito netting to the designated area under the roof.
- Hang up Curtains and Nettings: Finally, hang the mosquito netting and privacy curtains onto the installed tracks and hooks. Ensure they slide smoothly.
Operation
The HOTEEL Gazebo is designed for ease of use. The dual-track system allows for independent operation of the mosquito netting and privacy curtains.
- Curtains: The privacy curtains can be drawn closed for shade or privacy, or tied back to the poles using the integrated straps for an open feel.
- Mosquito Netting: The mosquito netting can be zipped closed to protect against insects, or tied back when not needed.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your gazebo.
- Cleaning: Clean the metal frame with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent rust. Clean fabric components (curtains, netting) according to their care labels, typically with mild soap and water, and air dry.
- Snow Removal: In snowy conditions, regularly clear snow from the roof to prevent excessive weight buildup, which can cause structural collapse.
- Wind Conditions: In strong winds (above 47-54 mph), it is recommended to retract curtains and netting and ensure the gazebo is securely anchored. Consider disassembling if extreme weather is expected.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Tighten as necessary.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Gazebo feels unstable or wobbly. | Loose fasteners; improper anchoring; uneven ground. | Check and tighten all screws and bolts. Ensure the gazebo is properly anchored to a level surface. Use shims if necessary for uneven ground. |
| Roof panels do not fit or align correctly. | Incorrect panel orientation; frame not perfectly square; fasteners overtightened prematurely. | Review assembly steps for roof panels. Loosen frame fasteners, adjust alignment, then retighten. Ensure panels are inserted into tracks before fully tightening. |
| Curtains/netting do not slide smoothly. | Debris in tracks; misaligned tracks; damaged hooks. | Clean tracks of any dirt or obstructions. Check track alignment and adjust if bent. Inspect hooks for damage and replace if necessary. |
| Water pooling on the roof. | Improper roof panel installation; drainage system obstruction. | Ensure roof panels are correctly overlapped and sealed. Check gutters and drainage points for blockages and clear them. |
