3. Setup and Assembly

3.1. Assembly Steps

Follow these steps to assemble your breast pump:

1. Fit the diaphragm and valve to the milk bowl.
2. Place the diaphragm cover onto the milk bowl.
3. Put the flange in the center of the milk bowl.
4. Connect the air tube to the pump motor.

3.2. Flange Sizing

Choosing the correct flange size is crucial for comfort and efficiency. Use a ruler or the provided nipple measure card to determine your nipple size and select the appropriate flange insert.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the "Power" button for 2 seconds to enter standby state.
• To start pumping: Short press the power button again to begin operation.
• To power off: Press and hold the "Power" button for 2 seconds.

4.2. Modes and Intensity Levels

The D6 electric breast pump offers 3 modes and 9 intensity levels:

• Stimulation Mode: Fast and shallow suction to stimulate milk production.
• Pumping Mode: Imitates the baby's actual sucking frequency for comfortable pumping.
• Mixed Mode: Alternates suction to relieve pumping pain and help stimulate milk discharge.

You can adjust the intensity levels by pressing the '+' or '-' buttons on the control panel. It is recommended to start with a lower level and gradually increase suction for comfort.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and sanitization are essential for hygiene and product longevity.

5.1. Cleaning Instructions

1. After each use, remove and clean all parts that come into contact with your breast and breast milk as soon as possible to prevent bacterial growth and odor.
2. Rinse components in cold, clear water (approx. 20°C / 68°F).
3. Wash in warm water (approx. 30°C / 86°F) using milk dishwashing soap and wipe afterwards with a clean cloth.
4. The Tubing Kit should not be soaked in water for cleaning. If accidentally dropped into water, it must be completely dried before use.

5.2. Sanitization

Sanitize and disinfect all washable components before the first use and after each subsequent use.

5.3. Drying

Always ensure all parts are completely dry before assembling and storing. Wipe off any water or air-dry the parts after washing.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Suction or Low Suction: Check whether the silicone flange and other parts are assembled correctly and securely in place. Ensure there are no air leaks.
• Pain During Pumping: Using a breast pump should not cause pain. Do not try to express with an intensity setting that is too high or uncomfortable. If excessive discomfort or pain is felt, turn the pump off, remove it from your nipple immediately, and discontinue the session. Consult your healthcare professional if pain persists or if you express minimal or no milk.
• Moldy Tubing: If tubing becomes moldy, discontinue use and replace the tubing immediately.
• Leakage: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and the double-sealed flange is properly seated. Pour milk into a storage bottle or bag as soon as possible after pumping to prevent leakage.
