8.1 Cleaning
- Ensure the laminator is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- To clean the rollers, periodically feed a folded piece of paper through the machine to remove any adhesive residue.
8.2 Storage
- Store the laminator in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the machine covered to prevent dust accumulation.
9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine does not turn on | No power, loose connection | Check power cord connection and wall outlet. Ensure power switch is 'ON'. |
| Laminating pouch jams | Pouch inserted crooked, too thick, or wrong temperature | Press 'BACKWARD' button to retrieve. Re-insert straight. Ensure pouch thickness is within limits. Adjust temperature for hot lamination. |
| Bubbles or cloudy lamination | Temperature too low (hot lamination), old film, or moisture | Increase temperature slightly. Use fresh, high-quality laminating film. Ensure documents are dry. |
| Laminating film wrinkles | Temperature too high (hot lamination) | Decrease temperature slightly. Allow machine to cool before re-attempting. |
| Machine heats up slowly | Normal operation, or low ambient temperature | Allow sufficient time for preheating until 'READY' light illuminates. |
