5.6 Specific Instructions for FUJI Cameras
To use the SL02 external flash with FUJI cameras, follow these steps:
- Access the camera's flash settings. Set the flash sync setting to "M" (Manual mode). The flash will then fire in manual mode.
- If the flash still does not fire, it may be due to the shutter type. Change the shutter type from electronic to mechanical. Then, adjust the flash settings and change the flash setting from OFF to M. Focus the camera, and then switch the flash back to manual mode.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the device to water or excessive moisture.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Flash Not Firing / Video Light Not Illuminating
- Check Compatibility: Ensure your camera has a single-contact hot shoe and is listed as compatible.
- Secure Connection: Verify the SL02 is fully inserted and securely seated in the camera's hot shoe.
- Battery Level: Check if the device is sufficiently charged. Recharge if the indicator light is off or red.
- Mode Selection: Confirm the correct mode (Flash or Video Light) is selected.
- FUJI Camera Settings: If using a FUJI camera, refer to Section 5.6 for specific flash settings.
7.2 Short Battery Life
- Ensure the device is fully charged before use (approximately 1 hour).
- Battery performance may decrease over time with repeated charging cycles.
- Operating at full power (1/1) in flash mode or continuously in video light mode will consume battery faster.
