2. Important Safety Information

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

5. Setup

1. Assemble the Steamer: If the steamer is disassembled for travel, align the handle with the base and twist to secure it. Ensure it clicks into place.

2. Fill the Water Tank: Untwist the water tank from the main unit. Fill the tank with distilled water. Do not overfill. Reattach the water tank securely to the main unit.

   Note: While some units may have water level indicators, this specific model (LX1200) may not. Fill carefully to avoid overfilling.

3. Connect to Power: Plug the steamer into a standard 120V electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Press the power button located on the top of the steamer. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Heat-Up Time: The steamer will heat up rapidly, typically within 35 seconds. Once ready, it will produce continuous steam for 12-15 minutes.

3. Steaming Garments:
   • Hang the garment on a hanger.
   • Hold the steamer head close to the fabric, moving it in a downward motion.
   • For stubborn wrinkles, gently pull the fabric taut with your free hand while steaming.
   • The ceramic soleplate provides even heat for effective wrinkle removal.

4. Suitable Fabrics: The steamer is safe for use on various fabrics including cotton, wool, plush, and silk.

5. After Use: Press the power button to turn off the steamer. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet.

7. Maintenance

• Empty Water Tank: After each use, allow the steamer to cool down completely. Then, remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
• Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Descaling (if necessary): If you notice reduced steam output or mineral buildup, mix equal parts white vinegar and water in the tank. Heat the steamer and allow it to steam for a few minutes. Then, unplug and let it cool before emptying and rinsing thoroughly with fresh water. Repeat if necessary.
• Storage: Ensure the steamer is completely dry before storing. Detach the handle from the base for compact storage in the provided travel bag. Store in a cool, dry place.
