4.3 DVR Functions

  • Loop Recording: The dash cam records video in 3-minute segments. When the Micro SD card is full, the oldest unlocked videos will be overwritten automatically.
  • G-Sensor (Emergency Recording): The built-in G-sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten during loop recording. These locked files are stored in a separate folder.
  • Parking Monitor: When the vehicle is parked and the engine is off, the dash cam can enter parking mode. With time-lapse recording, it records continuously at a low frame rate to provide surveillance. This feature requires a constant power supply (hardwire kit, not included, may be necessary for continuous parking monitoring).

4.4 Android 8.1 Features

  • Navigation: Utilize pre-installed or downloaded navigation apps (e.g., Google Maps) with the external GPS antenna for accurate positioning and route guidance.
  • Bluetooth: Pair your smartphone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming.
  • 4G Connectivity: With a SIM card installed, access the internet for online navigation, app downloads, and other online services.
  • Wi-Fi: Connect to Wi-Fi hotspots for internet access.
  • App List: Access various Android applications such as YouTube, Spotify, Chrome, and a file manager (refer to Figure 4.1).
  • Split Screen Display: The device supports split-screen functionality, allowing you to view two applications simultaneously, for example, navigation and video recording (refer to Figure 4.3).
