3. Features
The SK201B+ is equipped with a range of features to enhance your measurement capabilities:
- High-Speed Sampling & Wide Bandwidth: Features 2.5Msps high-speed sampling and 1MHz analog bandwidth (ACV mode only) for accurate and fast signal capture.
- Multiple Waveform Scanning Modes: Easily switch between automatic, normal, and single waveform scanning modes to meet various measurement needs.
- Data Storage & Waveform Hold: Stores up to 100 sets of measurement data and 10 waveforms, with real-time waveform hold for later analysis.
- Customizable Parameters & Relative Value Measurement: Adjust time base, amplitude, and scanning mode during waveform measurement; relative value measurement eliminates lead resistance, parasitic capacitance, or interference.
- Dual Protection & High Reliability: Measures DC/AC voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, and diode/continuity testing, with dual overload protection (500mA and 10A fuse) to ensure safety.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The SK201B+ requires 3 AA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert the 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely.
4.2 Connecting Test Leads
Connect the red and black test leads to the appropriate input jacks on the multimeter. The common (COM) jack is for the black lead, and the red lead connects to the jack corresponding to the desired measurement function (e.g., VΩCap for voltage, resistance, capacitance, or 10A for high current).
5. Operating Instructions
The SK201B+ features a rotary function selector and four function keys (F1-F4) for intuitive operation.
5.1 Power On/Off
Rotate the function selector from the "OFF" position to any desired measurement function to power on the device. Rotate back to "OFF" to power off.
5.2 Multimeter Functions
Select the desired measurement function using the rotary dial. The screen will display the corresponding measurement mode.
- Voltage (DC/AC): Up to 1000V DC and 750V AC.
- Current (DC/AC): Up to 10A.
- Resistance: Up to 40.00MΩ.
- Capacitance: Up to 10mF.
- Frequency: 5Hz - 5MHz.
- Duty Cycle: 0.1% - 99.9%.
- Diode Test: Voltage is about 1.5V.
- Continuity Test: Resistance less than 50Ω will trigger a beep.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To clean the device, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
6.2 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the screen. Follow the instructions in Section 4.1 for battery installation.
6.3 Fuse Replacement
The SK201B+ features dual overload protection with 500mA and 10A fuses. If the device stops functioning due to an overload, the fuse may need replacement. Refer to the full user manual for detailed instructions on fuse type and replacement procedures. Always ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any power source before attempting fuse replacement.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SK201B+, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Dead or incorrectly installed batteries. | Check battery polarity and replace batteries if necessary. |
| No reading or "OL" displayed. | Open circuit, out of range, or blown fuse. | Check test lead connections. Ensure measurement is within range. Check and replace fuse if needed. |
| Inaccurate readings. | Poor lead contact, external interference, or incorrect mode selection. | Ensure firm contact with test points. Minimize external interference. Verify correct function mode is selected. Consider using REL mode. |
| Waveform not stable. | Incorrect trigger settings. | Adjust trigger level or mode (Auto, Normal, Single) in oscilloscope settings. |
