2. Safety Information

Important Safety Instructions:

  • Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local and national electrical codes.
  • Do not attempt to open or modify the wallbox. Unauthorized modifications can lead to electric shock, fire, or damage to the unit.
  • Ensure the charging cable is not damaged before each use. Do not use the charger if the cable or connector is compromised.
  • The wallbox is equipped with a Type B RCD (AC 30 mA + DC 6 mA) for comprehensive protection against leakage currents, overcurrents, overvoltages, and undervoltages. This RCD provides effective protection for both the charger and the electric vehicle during charging.
  • The unit has an IP54 rating, indicating protection against dust and splashing water. However, avoid submerging the unit in water.

5. Setup and Installation

The dé 11kW EV Wallbox Charger is designed for wall mounting. Ensure the installation location is suitable, providing adequate space and a stable surface. Professional installation by a certified electrician is highly recommended to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

5.1 Wallbox Mounting

Follow these steps to securely mount the wallbox:

  1. Step 1: Locate the pre-installed wall mounting plate on the back of the product.
  2. Step 2: Press the elastic clips on the mounting plate to the left to release the clips from the housing, then slide the mounting plate downwards.
  3. Step 3: With the raised side facing outwards, fix the mounting plate to the wall using expansion bolts, ensuring it is firmly installed.
  4. Step 4: Align the latch on the back of the housing with the latch on the mounting plate and slide the housing downwards until it clicks into place.

5.2 Wallbox Removal (if needed)

To remove the wallbox from its mounting plate:

  1. Step 1: Locate the extraction hole at the bottom of the unit.
  2. Step 2: Insert a long, solid rod (e.g., a screwdriver) into the extraction hole until it reaches the elastic clamping collar. Gently press to the left to separate the two parts of the limiting clip.
  3. Step 3: While keeping the limiting clips separated, push the wallbox upwards to remove it from the mounting plate.

5.3 Electrical Connection

The wallbox comes with a pre-attached CEE 16A plug. Connect this plug to a compatible CEE 16A socket that is properly installed and protected by a circuit breaker and residual current device (RCD) as per local regulations. Ensure the socket is rated for 3-phase 400V operation to achieve the full 11kW charging capacity.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Starting a Charge

Once the wallbox is powered on and connected to your vehicle, charging can be initiated in one of two ways:

  • Plug & Charge: If RFID authentication is disabled, simply plug the Type 2 connector into your vehicle's charging port. Charging will begin automatically.
  • RFID Card: If RFID authentication is enabled, tap one of the provided RFID cards against the designated area on the wallbox. The unit will authenticate the card and begin charging.

6.2 Stopping a Charge

To stop charging:

  • RFID Card: Tap the RFID card again to stop the charging session.
  • Vehicle Controls: Stop charging via your vehicle's infotainment system or charging port release button.
  • App Control: Use the Tuya Smart app to remotely stop the charging session.

6.3 Adjustable Charging Current

You can adjust the charging current directly on the wallbox. Press the button on the unit to cycle through available current settings (6A, 8A, 10A, 13A, 16A). Select the desired current based on your vehicle's requirements and grid capacity.

6.4 Delayed Charging

To set a delayed charging start time, press and hold the button on the wallbox. You can set a delay from 0.5 to 8 hours. This feature is useful for scheduling charging during off-peak electricity hours to save costs.

6.5 LCD Display Information

The LCD screen provides real-time charging status and information:

  • Real-time Current: Displays the current amperage (e.g., 15.8A).
  • Real-time Voltage: Shows the phase voltage (e.g., 230V). For a three-phase circuit, a small '(3)' symbol will appear above 230V.
  • Real-time Power: Indicates the current charging power (e.g., 11.0kW).
  • Charging Capacity: Shows the total energy delivered during the current session (e.g., 11.0 kWh).
  • RFID Status: Indicates if RFID is active.
  • Current Level Adjustment: Shows the selected charging current.

7. Smart Features

7.1 Tuya Smart App Control

The Tuya Smart app (available on Android and iOS) allows for intelligent control and monitoring of your wallbox:

  • Scheduled Charging: Set specific times for charging to start and stop.
  • Power Adjustment: Remotely adjust the charging power.
  • Remote Start/Stop: Initiate or terminate charging sessions from your smartphone.
  • Charge Log: View historical charging data and statistics.

To connect the wallbox to the app, follow the pairing instructions provided within the Tuya Smart app. A short press on the button changes amperage, a long press delays charging, and two short presses activate pairing mode.

7.2 RFID Card Functionality
