6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the stopwatch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the casing or display.
6.2 Storage
Store the stopwatch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider removing the battery to prevent leakage.
6.3 Battery Replacement
Refer to Section 4.1 for instructions on replacing the AG13 button cell battery. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
7. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim:
This usually indicates a low or dead battery. Replace the AG13 button cell battery as described in Section 4.1.
- Buttons are unresponsive:
Ensure the stopwatch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though this model does not specify one). Try removing and reinserting the battery to perform a soft reset. If the issue persists, the internal mechanism may be faulty.
- Time or date is incorrect:
Follow the instructions in Section 5.2 to reset the time and date. Ensure the battery has sufficient power to maintain settings.
- Stopwatch does not start/stop:
Verify you are in Stopwatch Mode (Section 5.3). Ensure you are pressing the START/STOP button. If the issue continues, a button malfunction may be present.
