3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the radio's internal 800mAh battery. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the radio and the other end to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The screen will indicate charging status. A full charge provides over 10 hours of operation.
Note: This device does not support fast charging. Using a fast charger may damage the battery.

3.2 Attaching the Antenna
Screw the 70cm portable telescopic antenna into the SMA connector on the top of the radio. Extend the antenna fully for optimal reception, especially for FM and shortwave bands. For local AM broadcasts, the internal ferrite antenna is often sufficient, and the telescopic antenna may not need to be extended.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Controls
The radio is primarily controlled by a single multi-function encoder knob. This knob can be rotated to adjust frequency or volume, and pressed to select options or change modes.
- Rotate Knob: Adjusts frequency or navigates menu options.
- Press Knob (Short Press): Confirms selection, changes tuning step, or cycles through modes depending on context.
- Press Knob (Long Press): Powers on/off, or enters/exits menu settings.
4.2 Tuning to Stations
The radio supports multiple bands and modes:
- AM (Amplitude Modulation): For standard broadcast radio.
- FM (Frequency Modulation): For standard broadcast radio.
- LSB (Lower Sideband): For single-sideband communications, often used in amateur radio.
- USB (Upper Sideband): For single-sideband communications, often used in amateur radio.
To change the band or mode, typically a short press of the control knob will bring up a menu or cycle through options. Rotate the knob to select the desired band/mode, then press again to confirm. Once the band/mode is set, rotate the knob to tune to the desired frequency. The display will show the current frequency.
