4. Setup and Installation

The Surakey bike headlight features a quick-release design for easy attachment and removal.

4.1 Attaching the Mounting Bracket

  1. Identify the appropriate location on your bicycle handlebars for the mounting bracket. Ensure it does not obstruct your view or control of the bike.
  2. Secure the mounting bracket to the handlebar using the provided screws or straps. Ensure it is tightened firmly to prevent movement during riding.

4.2 Attaching the Headlight

  1. Align the base of the headlight with the quick-release mechanism on the mounted bracket.
  2. Push the headlight onto the bracket and rotate it until it clicks securely into place. The base is rotatable, allowing for adjustment of the light's direction.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off and Changing Modes

The headlight features a single button for operation.

  • Power On: Press and hold the power button for approximately 1-2 seconds.
  • Change Brightness Modes: Once powered on, single-click the button to cycle through the brightness levels: Low (300 lumens) → Medium (500 lumens) → High (1000 lumens).
  • Access Flashing Modes: Double-click the button to switch to flashing modes: Quick Flash → Slow Flash.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 1-2 seconds from any mode.

5.2 Charging the Headlight

The headlight is equipped with a 4800mAh lithium battery and charges via a USB Type-C port.

  • Locate the Type-C charging port on the side or rear of the headlight.
  • Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the headlight and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).
  • Charging Indicator: A side indicator light will show the charging status:

    • Green: Fully charged.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the light's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on:

    • Press and hold the power button for 1-2 seconds to ensure proper power-on sequence.
  • Light does not charge:
    • Verify the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the light and the power source.
    • Try a different USB cable or power source to rule out faulty accessories.
    • Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris.
  • Light flickers or dims unexpectedly:
