Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your TaIYanG Keyboard Case. This accessory is designed to enhance your iPad Mini experience by providing a protective cover, a backlit keyboard, and a multi-touch trackpad.

Compatibility

The TaIYanG Keyboard Case is compatible with the following iPad Mini models:

• iPad Mini 7th Generation (2024): Model Numbers A2996, A2995, A2993 (8.3-inch)
• iPad Mini 6th Generation (2021): Model Numbers A2567, A2568, A2569 (8.3-inch)

To verify your iPad model number, check the back bottom of your iPad device. This case is not compatible with any other iPad models, including iPad Mini 5th Generation (2019) or iPad Mini 4th Generation (2015).

Setup Instructions

1. Initial Hinge Operation

When opening the keyboard case for the first time, the hinge may feel stiff. Apply appropriate effort to open it. The hinge is designed for durability and has been stress-tested for 20,000 cycles.

2. Installing Your iPad Mini

Carefully place your iPad Mini into the protective case. Ensure all edges are securely fitted within the case for optimal protection.

3. Bluetooth Connection

1. Ensure your iPad's Bluetooth is turned on.
2. Turn on the keyboard by pressing the power button (usually located on the side or top edge of the keyboard).
3. Press the "Fn" key simultaneously with the "Q" key on the keyboard to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
4. On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
5. Select the keyboard device (e.g., "Bluetooth Keyboard") from the list of available devices.
6. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing.

Your keyboard is now connected and ready for use.

Operating Instructions

1. Adjusting Backlight Colors and Brightness

The keyboard features 7 backlight colors and 3 adjustable brightness levels. Use the dedicated backlight keys (often represented by a light bulb icon or similar) to cycle through colors and adjust brightness. Refer to the keyboard's function keys for specific controls, which may include iPadOS shortcuts for backlight adjustments.

2. Using the Multi-Touch Trackpad

The integrated trackpad supports various multi-touch gestures, allowing you to navigate your iPad Mini efficiently. Ensure your iPad is updated to iOS 13 or above to fully utilize the multi-function touchpad.

• Swipe and Scroll: Use two fingers to scroll through content.
• Click: Tap or press to select items.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your TaIYanG Keyboard Case, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the case. For the keyboard, use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris between keys.
• Protection: The case is designed to be anti-fingerprint, dust-proof, and scratch-resistant. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Troubleshooting

• Keyboard Not Connecting via Bluetooth:
  • Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
  • Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad.
  • Press "Fn + Q" on the keyboard to enter pairing mode.
  • If the issue persists, try unpairing and re-pairing the keyboard from your iPad's Bluetooth settings.
  • Ensure the keyboard battery is charged.
• Trackpad Not Responding:
  • Confirm your iPad's operating system is iOS 13 or above.
  • Check iPad settings to ensure trackpad support is enabled.
  • Restart both the iPad and the keyboard.
• Backlight Not Working:
  • Ensure the keyboard battery is sufficiently charged.
  • Use the dedicated backlight keys to cycle through colors and brightness levels.
• Hinge Feels Too Tight:
