1. Safety Information

  • WARNING: Not recommended for children under 3 (three) years due to small part(s) that may be swallowed or inhaled.

3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your Thomas & Friends Load & Launch Barrel Delivery Set.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all pieces from the packaging. Refer to Figure 2.1 to identify each part.
  2. Install Batteries: The Classic Thomas motorized engine requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the engine, open it with a screwdriver, insert the batteries according to polarity, and close the compartment.
  3. Assemble Track: Connect the track pieces to form the desired layout. Ensure all connections are firm and flat on the play surface. The set includes approximately 18 feet of track, allowing for various configurations.
  4. Position Structures: Place the Delivery Warehouse, Train Depot, Turntable, Bridge, and Tunnel onto the designated track sections as shown in the product images or suggested layouts.
  5. Connect Accessories: Attach any track diverters or other small accessories to their corresponding points on the track.
  6. Place Thomas: Carefully place the Classic Thomas motorized engine and its cargo car onto the track.

4. Operating Instructions

Learn how to operate your Thomas & Friends Load & Launch Barrel Delivery Set.

  1. Start Thomas: Flip the switch on the top of the Classic Thomas motorized engine to turn it on. Thomas will begin to move along the track.
  2. Load Barrels: As Thomas approaches the Delivery Warehouse, manually place one of the four included plastic barrels into the cargo car. The cargo car is designed to hold the barrel securely.

  3. Barrel Launch Mechanism: When Thomas reaches the Train Depot, the barrel will automatically launch from the cargo car onto the depot's roof, ringing the bell to signal a successful delivery.

  4. Using the Turntable: The turntable allows Thomas to change direction or access different track lines. Manually rotate the turntable to align Thomas with the desired track.

  5. Track Diverters: Utilize the track diverters to guide Thomas along different paths and create varied play scenarios.
  6. Stop Thomas: Flip the switch on the top of the engine to the "off" position to stop Thomas.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the track pieces, engine, and accessories with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse electronic components in water.
  • Battery Replacement: When the Thomas engine slows down or stops responding, replace the AAA batteries. Always use fresh batteries and dispose of old ones responsibly.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the set in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Press track pieces firmly together until they click.
  • Assemble the track on a flat, stable surface.
