Operating Instructions
Button Functions Overview
- Measure Button (Green Triangle): Activates the laser for aiming, takes measurements, and confirms selections.
- Menu Button: Accesses different measurement modes and settings.
- Addition / Subtraction Button (+/-): Performs addition or subtraction of measurements.
- Memory Button: Recalls stored measurement data.
- Unit Button: Switches between measurement units (m/ft/in/ft+in).
- Clear (Return) / Mute Button (C/M): Clears the current measurement, returns to the previous screen, or mutes/unmutes the device sound.
Changing Measurement Units
Long press the Unit Button to cycle through the available measurement units: meters (m), feet (ft), inches (in), and feet+inches (ft+in).

- Single Measurement: Press the Measure button once to activate the laser, then press again to take a single distance measurement.
- Continuous Measurement (Min/Max): Press and hold the Measure button to enter continuous measurement mode. The device will display real-time distance, along with minimum and maximum values. Press the Measure button again to exit.
- Area Calculation: In Area mode, take two consecutive distance measurements (length and width). The device will automatically calculate and display the area.
- Volume Calculation: In Volume mode, take three consecutive distance measurements (length, width, and height). The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.
- Pythagorean Mode: Used for indirect measurements. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (e.g., two or three points to calculate height or distance).
- Addition and Subtraction: After taking a measurement, press the Addition/Subtraction button to add or subtract subsequent measurements.

Accuracy Check and Calibration
To ensure the accuracy of your LASELION LG70, it is recommended to perform a simple accuracy check periodically:
- Select a permanently unchangeable measuring section indoors, approximately 3 to 10 meters (9.8 to 32 feet) long. The target area should be smooth and reflect well (e.g., a white-painted wall).
- Measure the distance 10 times in succession.
- The deviation of individual measurements from the average value must not exceed ±0.12 inches (±2 mm).
If the device consistently shows deviations outside the specified accuracy, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact customer support.
Safety Information
- This device uses a Class II laser. Do not stare directly into the laser beam or direct it at other people.
- Do not attempt to modify or disassemble the device.
- Keep the device out of reach of children.
- Use the device only as described in this manual.
Maintenance
- Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- The device is IP54 rated, meaning it is protected against dust and splashing water. However, do not immerse it in water.
- Store the device in its portable bag in a dry, cool place when not in use.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your LASELION LG70, try the following:
- Device not powering on: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Inaccurate measurements: Ensure the reference point is correctly set. Check for obstructions in the laser path. Perform an accuracy check as described above.
- Laser not visible: The green laser is highly visible, but in extremely bright conditions or over very long distances, it may be harder to see. Try using a target plate.
- Error messages: Consult the full user manual for specific error codes and their solutions.
