1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your REPTITRIP 8.5-Inch Day/Night Thermostatic Reptile Heat Lamp. This system is designed to provide a controlled heating environment for reptiles, simulating natural day-night temperature cycles. It includes a ceramic heat emitter, a light fixture, and a dimming thermostat for precise temperature regulation.
2. Safety Information
- High-Temperature Warning: The heat lamp surface can reach high temperatures during operation. A warning sticker on the lamp turns red at 113°F (45°C) to indicate this.
- Placement: Always keep a safe distance between the heat lamp and flammable materials, as well as your reptiles, to prevent burns or fire hazards.
- Indoor Dry Use Only: This product is intended for indoor, dry environments. Do not expose to water or high humidity.
- Bulb Compatibility: This fixture is compatible with reptile heat bulbs and ceramic heat emitters up to 150W. It is not compatible with LED lights or sun lamps.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the product's voltage requirements (100-120 Volts, 60 Hertz). Do not overload electrical outlets.

4. Setup Instructions
- Install the Ceramic Heat Emitter: Carefully screw the 150W ceramic heat emitter into the E26 socket of the 8.5-inch light fixture. Ensure it is securely tightened but do not overtighten.
- Position the Light Fixture: Place the light fixture securely above your reptile enclosure. Use the integrated hanging hook if suspending the lamp. Ensure adequate clearance from the enclosure walls and any inhabitants.
- Connect the Thermostat: Plug the light fixture's power cord into the designated output on the REPTITRIP thermostat controller.
- Position the Temperature Probe: Carefully place the temperature probe inside the reptile enclosure. Position it in the area where you want to maintain a stable temperature, typically near the basking spot or a central location, ensuring it is not directly under the heat lamp or accessible to your pet.
- Power On: Plug the thermostat's power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the exterior of the lamp fixture and thermostat with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse any part in water.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure the lamp is unplugged and completely cool before attempting to replace the ceramic heat emitter. Handle the new bulb carefully and screw it in firmly.
- Probe Inspection: Periodically check the temperature probe for any damage or debris that might affect its accuracy.
7. Troubleshooting
- Lamp Not Heating:
- Check if the thermostat is powered on and plugged in correctly.
- Verify the ceramic heat emitter is screwed in properly and not burnt out. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure the set temperature is above the current ambient temperature.
- Temperature Fluctuations:
- Ensure the temperature probe is correctly positioned and not directly exposed to drafts or direct heat from the lamp.
- Check for external factors affecting terrarium temperature, such as room temperature changes.
- Difficulty Programming:
- Refer to the 'Operating Instructions' section and the provided video for detailed steps.
- Ensure you are long-pressing the SET button to enter and save settings, and short-pressing OK to toggle between parameters.
