5. Installation Instructions

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding.

  1. Prepare the Area: Turn off power at the main circuit breaker. Clear the installation area of any obstructions.
  2. Mounting Plate Installation: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure the plate is securely fastened and level.

  4. Wiring Connections: Connect the fixture's wires to the house wires according to standard electrical practices:
    • Connect the black wire (live) from the fixture to the black wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the white wire (neutral) from the fixture to the white wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the green or bare copper wire (ground) from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box.
    Secure all connections with wire nuts.
  5. Secure the Fixture: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
  6. Install Bulb: Insert an E26 base bulb (max 60W) into the socket.
  7. Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor

The integrated photocell sensor automatically detects ambient light levels. The light will turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, providing hands-free operation. The GFCI outlet remains continuously powered regardless of the light's on/off state.

To Disable Dusk-to-Dawn Function: A rubber cap is provided to cover the photocell sensor. Placing this cap over the sensor will disable the dusk-to-dawn feature, allowing the light to be controlled manually via a wall switch.

6.2. GFCI Outlet Usage

The built-in GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet provides two receptacles for connecting outdoor electrical devices. It offers enhanced safety by quickly cutting power in case of a ground fault, reducing the risk of electric shock.

Testing the GFCI: Press the 'TEST' button on the GFCI outlet. The 'RESET' button should pop out, and power to the outlet should be interrupted. Press 'RESET' to restore power. If the GFCI does not trip or reset, it may be faulty and should be replaced by a qualified electrician.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: To clean the fixture, turn off the power. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing the bulb. Allow the bulb to cool completely before handling. Use an E26 base bulb with a maximum wattage of 60W.

8. Troubleshooting
