Setup

Initial Charging:

  1. Unpack the lanterns and ensure all components are present.
  2. Locate the ON/OFF switch, typically near the base or under the solar panel. Ensure the switch is in the "ON" position for charging and operation.
  3. Place the lanterns in a location where the solar panel receives direct sunlight for at least 5 hours before first use. This allows the internal battery to fully charge.

Operating Instructions

The Wondrastical Solar Lanterns are designed for automatic operation.

Automatic On/Off Function:

Once fully charged and the switch is in the "ON" position, the lanterns will automatically turn off during daylight hours to charge and illuminate at dusk. The integrated light sensor detects ambient light levels to manage this function.

Placement Considerations:

  • For optimal performance, ensure the solar panel is not obstructed by shadows from buildings, trees, or other objects during the day.
  • The lanterns can be hung using their integrated handle or placed on any flat surface.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

  • Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
  • Clean the lantern's body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Weather Resistance:

The lanterns are IP65 waterproof, designed to withstand various weather conditions. However, for prolonged extreme weather, temporary indoor storage may extend product life.

Troubleshooting

Lantern Does Not Light Up:

  1. Check the ON/OFF Switch: Ensure the switch is in the "ON" position. Refer to the "Setup" section for switch location.
  2. Insufficient Sunlight: Verify that the solar panel receives at least 5-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Relocate the lantern if necessary.
  3. Initial Charge: If it's the first use or after prolonged storage, allow the lantern to charge for a full day in direct sunlight.
  4. Battery Depletion: If the indicator light is flashing, the power is low, and the device will stop working soon. Allow it to charge fully.

Short Illumination Time:

  1. Solar Panel Cleanliness: Clean the solar panel to ensure maximum light absorption.
  2. Sunlight Exposure: Ensure the lantern is placed in an area with maximum direct sunlight exposure throughout the day.
  3. Ambient Light Interference: If the lantern is placed near other strong light sources at night (e.g., streetlights), its light sensor may prevent it from turning on or cause it to turn off prematurely.
