Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect your MOKiN docking station to your laptop and external displays.
1. Verify Laptop Compatibility:
Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode (for video output) and Power Delivery (for charging). Look for a Thunderbolt 3/4 port or a full-featured USB-C port with data transfer, display alt mode, and power delivery capabilities.

2. Connect Power Adapter (Optional but Recommended):
Connect your laptop's original USB-C power adapter (up to 100W) to the PD (Power Delivery) port on the docking station. This will charge your laptop and provide stable power to all connected devices.
3. Connect to Laptop:
Plug the integrated USB-C cable from the docking station into a compatible USB-C port on your laptop.
4. Connect External Displays:
Connect your monitors to the HDMI and/or DisplayPort outputs on the docking station using appropriate cables. The docking station supports up to three external displays simultaneously (depending on laptop's DP version and operating system).
5. Connect Peripherals:
Connect your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, external drives), Ethernet cable, and audio devices to the corresponding ports on the docking station.
Operating Instructions
Display Configuration:
The docking station supports various display modes including mirror, extend, and collage (Windows only). The maximum resolution and number of displays depend on your laptop's graphics card and operating system.
- Windows Laptops (with DP1.4): Supports up to three external displays at 1080p@60Hz in extended mode. Dual 4K@30Hz or single 4K@60Hz is also supported.
- macOS Laptops (with DP1.4): Supports up to two external displays. In extended mode, macOS can only extend one display, while others will mirror. Maximum resolution for a single display is 4K@60Hz. macOS does not support Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for independent extended displays beyond one.
