2. Important Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.

4. Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the appliance for any damage.
- Cleaning: Before first use, wash the ceramic inner pot and its lid with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the main host unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main host unit in water.
- Placement: Place the slow cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to ensure proper ventilation.
- Assembly:
- Pour water into the main host unit, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum fill line. This water is for the water bath heating method.
- Place the ceramic inner pot into the main host unit.
- Place the ceramic pot lid onto the ceramic inner pot.
- Cover the entire unit with the transparent outer lid.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 110V US electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
5. Operating Instructions
The ZJchao Slow Cooker utilizes a water bath heating method, which ensures even heating and preserves the nutritional value and original taste of your food.
5.1. Basic Operation
- Prepare your ingredients and place them into the ceramic inner pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water to the main host unit (for water bath heating).
- Place the ceramic inner pot with ingredients into the main host unit, cover with both lids.
- Plug in the appliance.
- Press the 'Function' button to select your desired cooking mode (e.g., Stew, Bird's Nest, Herbal Soup, Dessert, Baby Porridge). The selected function will be indicated on the display.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the cooking time if necessary. The maximum reservation time is 24 hours.
- The cooker will begin the cooking process after a few seconds.
- Once cooking is complete, the appliance may switch to a 'Keep Warm' mode or turn off automatically, depending on the selected function.
- To cancel a function, press the 'Cancel' button.
5.2. Timer Function (Appointment/Reservation)
The timer function allows you to set a delayed start for your cooking:
- After selecting a cooking function, press the 'Appointment' button.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired delay time (up to 24 hours). This is the time until cooking begins.
- The display will show the countdown for the delay. Once the delay time is over, the cooker will automatically start the selected cooking program.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your slow cooker.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Ceramic Inner Pot and Lids: Wash the ceramic inner pot and both lids with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are generally dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to prolong their life.
- Main Host Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main host unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main host unit in water or any other liquid. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
- Heating Plate: If there are any mineral deposits on the heating plate inside the main unit, you can remove them by wiping with a cloth dampened with vinegar or a descaling solution, then rinse with a damp cloth.
- Storage: Store the clean and dry slow cooker in a cool, dry place.
