Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your F998 Live Sound Card and microphone kit.

  1. Assemble the Microphone Arm: Attach the clamp base of the microphone arm to a sturdy desk or table. Insert the arm into the clamp and secure it.
  2. Attach the Shock Mount and Microphone: Screw the shock mount onto the microphone arm. Carefully place the condenser microphone into the shock mount.
  3. Install the Pop Filter: Attach the pop filter to the microphone arm or desk using its clamp. Position it directly in front of the microphone to reduce plosive sounds.
  4. Connect the Microphone to the Sound Card: Use the provided XLR to 3.5mm cable. Connect the XLR end to the microphone and the 3.5mm end to the designated microphone input on the F998 Sound Card.
  5. Connect Headphones/Speakers: Plug your headphones or speakers into the appropriate output jack on the sound card for monitoring audio.
  6. Connect to Device (Computer/Phone):
    • For Computer: Use the USB cable to connect the sound card to your computer. The computer should automatically recognize the device.
    • For Phone/Tablet: Use the appropriate audio cable (e.g., 3.5mm to 3.5mm) to connect the sound card's output to your phone's input. An adapter may be required for phones without a 3.5mm jack.
