1. Product Overview

These ink cartridges are designed as compatible replacements for HP 680 and 680XL series. They are engineered to provide reliable printing performance for a range of HP Deskjet Inkjet printers. The cartridges feature an intelligent chip for compatibility and are designed to produce clear text and vibrant colors.

Each black ink cartridge yields approximately 750 pages, and each color ink cartridge yields approximately 450 pages, based on 5% coverage on A4 paper.

3. Installation Guide

Follow these steps to properly install the ink cartridge into your HP Deskjet printer:

1. Ensure the printer is powered on.
2. Open the front cover of the printer.
3. Press the ink button on your printer to move the cartridge carriage to the replacement position.
4. Open the upper cover of the ink cartridge slot.
5. Carefully remove the old ink cartridge from its slot.
6. Unpack the new ink cartridge and remove any protective tape or clips. Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles.
7. Insert the new cartridge into the correct slot (black for black, color for color) and push it down firmly until it clicks into place.
8. Close the upper cover of the ink cartridge slot.
9. Close the front cover of the printer.
10. After completing the above steps, press the ink button on the printer again to confirm installation and allow the printer to initialize.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the ink cartridges are installed, your printer is ready for use. Ensure your printer drivers are up to date for optimal performance.

• Storage: Store unused ink cartridges in their original sealed packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Print Head Cleaning: If print quality degrades (e.g., streaks, faded colors), perform a print head cleaning cycle through your printer's utility software. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions.
• Regular Use: To prevent ink from drying out, it is recommended to print at least once a week.

6. Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

• "Non-Original Ink Cartridge" Message: If your printer displays a message like "Non-Original Ink Cartridge" or "Used/Refilled Cartridge," simply click "OK" or "Continue" on the printer's screen or computer prompt. This is a standard notification for compatible cartridges and will not prevent printing.
• Cartridge Not Recognized: If the printer does not recognize the ink cartridge after installation:
  1. Remove the ink cartridge.
  2. Turn off the printer and unplug it for a few minutes.
  3. Clean the copper contacts on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth.
  4. Reinstall the cartridge firmly into its slot.
  5. Turn the printer back on.
  6. If prompted, click "OK" or "Continue" repeatedly until the printer recognizes the cartridge and resumes normal operation.
• Poor Print Quality:
  • Ensure the protective tape was fully removed from the cartridge.
  • Perform a print head cleaning cycle through your printer's software.
  • Check ink levels to ensure cartridges are not empty.
