8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
8.1 Camera Not Powering On
- Check Power Connection: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into the camera and a working electrical outlet. If using POE, verify the POE switch/NVR is powered on and the Ethernet cable is properly connected.
- Test Outlet: Try plugging another device into the same outlet to confirm it's functional.
8.2 No Video Feed in App
- Network Connection: Ensure the camera is connected to your network (Ethernet or Wi-Fi) and your smartphone has internet access.
- Router/Network Issues: Restart your router and/or POE switch.
- Camera Status: Check if the camera's indicator lights are on. If not, refer to "Camera Not Powering On".
- App Refresh: Close and reopen the iCSee app, or try removing and re-adding the camera in the app.
8.3 Wi-Fi Connection Issues
- Signal Strength: Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Obstacles like thick walls can weaken the signal.
- Correct Password: Double-check that you entered the correct Wi-Fi password during setup.
- Router Settings: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal, as many security cameras do not support 5GHz.
- Reset Camera: Use the reset button (if available, often a small pinhole) to factory reset the camera and attempt Wi-Fi setup again.
8.4 PTZ Control Not Responding
- Network Latency: Slow network connection can cause delays in PTZ commands.
- Power Cycle: Disconnect and reconnect power to the camera.
- Firmware: Ensure the camera's firmware is up to date.
8.5 Two-Way Audio Not Working
- App Permissions: Ensure the iCSee app has microphone permissions on your smartphone.
- Volume Levels: Check the volume settings on your smartphone and within the app.
- Camera Microphone/Speaker: Ensure nothing is obstructing the camera's microphone or speaker.
8.6 Motion Detection Not Triggering
- Enable Detection: Verify that motion detection and human detection are enabled in the iCSee app settings.
- Sensitivity: Adjust the detection sensitivity settings. Too low may miss events, too high may cause false alarms.
- Detection Zone: Ensure the area you want to monitor is within the camera's detection zone.
