2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in partially enclosed spaces.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and dry. Use only properly grounded extension cords. Never touch the generator with wet hands.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in approved containers away from heat sources.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid touching hot surfaces to prevent burns.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, feet, hair, and clothing away from moving parts such as the fan and flywheel.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Overload Protection: Do not overload the generator. It is equipped with automatic overload protection.

4. Setup
Before first use, ensure the generator is properly set up.
4.1 Unpacking and Inspection
- Remove the generator from its packaging and inspect for any shipping damage.
- Ensure all included components are present.
4.2 Adding Engine Oil
The engine is shipped without oil. Operating without oil will cause severe engine damage.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Add the recommended engine oil (refer to engine manual for specific type and quantity) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
4.3 Adding Fuel
WARNING: Use fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not mix oil with gasoline.
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Open the fuel tank cap.
- Carefully pour gasoline into the fuel tank, using a funnel to prevent spills. Do not fill above the red indicator or the bottom of the filler neck.
- Securely close the fuel tank cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
4.4 Grounding the Generator
For safety, the generator must be properly grounded.
- Connect a heavy-gauge copper wire from the generator's grounding terminal to a suitable ground source (e.g., a ground rod driven into the earth).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pre-Start Checks
- Check engine oil level.
- Check fuel level.
- Ensure all electrical loads are disconnected from the generator outlets.
- Verify the generator is on a level surface and in a well-ventilated outdoor area.
5.2 Starting the Engine
Manual Start:
- Turn the engine switch to the 'ON' position.
- Open the fuel valve.
- Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (if the engine is cold).
- Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and firmly.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.
Electric Start (if equipped):
- Follow steps 1-3 for manual start.
- Turn the key switch to the 'START' position and hold for a few seconds until the engine starts. Release the key once started.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.
5.3 Connecting Electrical Loads
- Allow the engine to run for a few minutes to warm up.
- Plug in your electrical devices one by one, starting with the largest load.
- Do not exceed the generator's rated power output (4.0 kW continuous, 5.5 kW peak). Monitor the voltmeter on the control panel.
5.4 Stopping the Engine
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
- Allow the engine to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Turn the engine switch to the 'OFF' position.
- Close the fuel valve.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your generator.
