Introduction
The RAINPOINT WiFi Water Timer is designed to provide an intelligent and convenient solution for garden watering. This system includes a 2-zone smart hose timer and an antenna gateway, ensuring reliable connectivity and precise control over your irrigation. Manage your watering needs efficiently from anywhere using the dedicated mobile application.

Setup
1. Unboxing and Battery Installation
Carefully unbox all components. The water timer requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Insert them into the battery compartment on the back of the timer, ensuring correct polarity. The timer is IP65 waterproof, but proper battery compartment sealing is crucial.
2. Gateway Setup
The HWG040 antenna gateway supports both 2.4G WiFi and Ethernet cable connections for stable operation. Place the gateway close to your router for optimal signal strength. Avoid placing it on the floor or near large metal objects that could interfere with the signal.

3. Timer Installation
Attach the 2-zone water timer to your outdoor faucet. Ensure it is hand-tightened to prevent leaks. The timer features a brass water inlet with a rubber ring for a secure connection. Connect your garden hoses to the 'L' (Left) and 'R' (Right) outlets.
4. App Connection
Download the RAINPOINT HOME APP from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your WiFi water timer to the gateway and your 2.4G WiFi network. The app provides a smooth and intuitive experience for managing your watering system.

Operating the Water Timer
Watering Modes
The smart hose timer offers three distinct watering modes for each zone:
- Normal Irrigation: Continuous one-time irrigation (1 minute to 12 hours).
- Interval Irrigation: Intermittent watering realized by switching valves on and off at intervals (1 second to 60 minutes).
- Cycle & Soak: Splits the total watering time into multiple short cycles with breaks in between to allow soil to absorb water and improve watering efficiency.

Smart Irrigation Features
The WiFi water timer automatically adjusts the watering schedule based on real-time conditions such as weather, soil moisture, and temperature. It can skip watering on rainy days and ensures adequate moisture during dry spells, preventing over- or under-watering.

Flow Monitoring and Water Usage
Each zone has a built-in high-precision flow sensor to monitor water usage. You can view water consumption data for the past 12 months. The system also provides 24-hour flow monitoring and sends instant messages if a valve cannot be opened or closed, or if the device goes offline.

Manual Control
You can manually control the watering directly from the timer unit by pressing the 'L' or 'R' buttons for each zone. Alternatively, you can use the app for manual control, which offers more detailed options for duration and mode.

Voice Control
The RAINPOINT WiFi Water Timer is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing for convenient voice control of your watering schedules.

Maintenance
The water timer features an IP65 waterproof design and a weather-resistant heavy-duty structure, ensuring durability in various outdoor conditions.

Regularly check the battery level in the app and replace the 4 AA batteries when indicated. Ensure the brass water inlet is free from debris, especially if using well water, to prevent flow restriction.
Troubleshooting
- Gateway Offline: Ensure the gateway is powered on and close enough to the WiFi router. Avoid metal objects.
- Valve Not Opening/Closing: Check battery level and replace if low. Ensure the filter in the water inlet is clean.
- Water Hammer Effect: The sudden shut-off can cause a water hammer. Consider installing a water hammer arrestor before the timer if this is a concern.
- Simultaneous Zone Operation: The timer is designed to operate one zone at a time. Simultaneous operation of both zones is not supported. During
